Lizzy’s Diner is hands down the best place in town for a good old-fashioned American breakfast with real yesteryear flair. Stay away from here if you love real food.
Came in Boss Lady and we almost left, we should have. The hostess was kind and sweet. But that’s where the good stuff ends. We were seated and the first thing I saw on the table was fake syrup, non-butter and creamer. It may cost a bit more to get real food, but it’s worth it. Boss Lady asked for real butter…they have it but they charge you for it. The coffee was drinkable.
The rest of what we ordered was mostly edible except the bacon was disgusting.

My wife and I enjoyed having breakfast at Lizzy’s Diner. Each entre was prepared as you would expect from a home-style kitchen. Both the pancakes and the waffles had a unique flavor as though they added a touch of vanilla to the batter. The friendly waitstaff could have been a long, lost relative. The prices were good, but the seating lacked some elbow room.

Ordered biscuits and gravy which I couldn’t eat because it was too spicy. I pointed this out and thought they were going to remove it, but they managed through creative math to charge me almost as much as I would have paid anyways.

i got the southwest burger and home fries – genuinely the best burger and fries I’ve had in ages. both were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and dressed.
the biscuits and gravy are phenomenal and were a huge treat for my family (visiting Texas after years of living in Denver, where they don’t make biscuits or gravy worth a darn)
my grandpa got fluffy, delicious pancakes that have been his go-to order for years. I stole bites of biscuits from my sister but wasn’t brave enough to sneak any pancakes – but I trust they were delicious because he’s been getting them for years, and because he ate the whole plate faster than I finished my meal.
the food is fantastic but the service here is the real highlight – i knew this was my grandpa’s favorite breakfast spot, and had been for a while, but i was surprised and delighted at how many staff came up to the table and knew him by name. they also recognized the face of my grandmother in my mom, even though it’s been over ten years since my grandma was around to be recognized! my mom looks exactly like her, but ten years is a long time to remember a face.
our server was attentive and the whole serving staff works as a team, going through and offering everyone coffee regardless of if it was “their table”
i was surprised and delighted by the food, the people, and the overall experience. this is going to be a mandatory stop for me every time I’m back in town.
the prices are also VERY reasonable! 2 coffees and amazing meals for four people was only $42! i would give this place ten stars if I could

The food was excellent. Some of the best food I’ve had in a while. The waitress was sweet with a big smile. The purple-haired woman at the register was super funny and nice. Everyone here was very outgoing and kind. I will 100% be back!

Great place to eat a cheeseburger and fries. They make homemade fries and that is totally awesome. And the coffee is really good. The way they charge is not so good. If you want meat in your Western omelette it’s almost $4 extra and The omelet itself was already about the price of one that you usually get elsewhere that has meat already and they charge. If you want to switch your drink like from coffee to Dr. Pepper you had to pay for another drink. I personally think that’s greed but it’s whatever. It was a good food. A good place to eat for me and I’m picky and the staff was really great. Very friendly, nice ladies
