I came here with my 2 buddies as one had recommended it. You instantly can feel that’s it’s a small mom and pop restaurant with not a big staff at all, the interior is not all new and nice like some chains but that’s what gives heart. The owner I’m guessing I didn’t get his name was very nice and talkative very energetic and happy, the food came quick and we also were given tea. I’m not usually a huge fan of Chinese food but man this stuff was good, we finished the soup and the fried rice and chow mein were amazing, my cashew chicken was so flavorful and my buddy also got some super good pork belly. Afterwords the owner told us about other local places for dessert and just talked with us. Great place and very good food.

This is our FAVORITE place to eat.
We love authentic Chinese, especially Szechuan.

We have searched for spicy cold noodles forever…their Szechuan cold noodles are excellent!!!!!

We also LOVE the Szechuan dumplings! We order these two appetizers every time.

The staff is so wonderfully friendly and love to share their food with you…if they make a recommendation, just say yes!

When getting Chinese takeout it should be a given that the sauce should ALWAYS come on the side. This was our 1st time there, we are normally Hong Kong loyalists but wanted to try something closer. It was my fault for assuming the sauce would be on the side and I was optimistic when I saw a container of sweet and sour in our box. Nope. The sweet and sour chicken had the sauce on the side but my honey walnut shrimp was drenched and I was unable to eat leftovers but luckily I was able to enjoy it as soon as I got home. My poor sons sesame chicken didn’t turn out the same. It was not appealing and to him, inedible. I couldn’t disagree really. It was swimming in the sauce and completely soggy. Why bother deep frying? Not my favorite sesame sauce either. Heavy on the vinegar.
The sweet and sour chicken wss delicious and the sweet and sour was very flavorful. Enjoyed the notes of the peppers with the sweet for sure.
The honey walnut shrimp was also delicious and super crunchy. Unfortunately one of my favorite things about eating Chinese food is the leftovers, even the ones a couple hours later. Again because the sauce was on the shrimp they didn’t save well at all and made them not on gross the next day but a few hours later even.
The egg rolls and fried rice were mediocre.
We would definitely go back for the S&S and shrimp and be sure to ask for the sauce on the side for ALL of our dishes.

Food was delicious & spicy. Ordered Mongolian Beef, Happy Family & Mapo Tofu (very spicy). I was surprised that NO white rice came with the entrees. Ordering thru Ubereats went smooth. I recommend this place. I look forward to trying other foods on the menu.

First off the host is so welcoming. He is very friendly and clearly loves what he does. If he doesn’t then someone needs to give him an award for the best acting. Anyways, the food! So we saw a video on Facebook a few days ago and everything looked amazing. We decided to go tonight (Valentines). They weren’t busy but we went around 4pm. They got busier as it got closer to 5pm. We ordered hot tea, crab wonton, egg flower soup, Szechuan chicken, Broccoli beef, Fresh garlic, green beans, and a side of white rice. Everything was delicious. With so much flavor! Good portion sizes too. Between 2 people who can eat and were starving, we had leftovers. We saw a lot on the menu that we will have to comeback and try.

BEST STEAMED DUMPLINGS They were fresh and handmade in house— not frozen! I loved the broth and how tender the beef was in the Beef Noodle Soup. We loved the Hot Pot experience— especially my son. The fish balls, fish, squid— all so yummy. The spicy cold beef and tripe was divine. It takes a bit for the food to come out, but when you understand that it’s made fresh to order and by hand, you realize it’s worth the wait. We decided to come here for Lunar New Year, and I am really happy we did. Service was as attentive as they could be, given there were two men doing their best with a FULL restaurant. I definitely give them grace for the timing of service as they certainly could’ve used more help. We got there when there were only two other parties besides us, and when we left there was not a seat left in the house! They were BUSY! I am happy for them. May they continue to flourish in business. Plan on spending time here if you decided to dine in. This is not a place you go to for fast food, but a meal made with love and care. Wishing them more success in 2025!

This isn’t the best Chinese food in Tacoma, this is the best FOOD in Tacoma. My wife grew up in China, I loved there years. This place would be exceptional in China, let alone here in the states. Please be adventurous and try the ma po tofu, mung bean jelly, and shaved potato with peppers. Their yan noodles are so good.

This is food that makes life bette. When I’m having a rough day, this is what I crave. Unless you like sugary Americanized dishes, be sure to ask them to help you order food that is not “lao mei” food. Lao mei is the Americanized stuff, overly sweet

Amazing place! First time here, but the server was awesome, she listened to our needs and suggested the popular dishes.
The food was just delicious. We got vegetable fried rice, twice cooked pork belly – Szechuan style, hot pepper beef, garlic string beans.
Price was extremely reasonable, we were 4 people and cost was below $100

The mala chicken is so, so good. Mala chicken is one of my favorite meals. It can be hard to find. In other cities I’ve also seen this type of dish labeled as Laziji chicken or Szechuan Spicy/Chili Chicken. This is the best mala chicken I’ve had. I live 30 min away and only get takeout, so I cannot comment on service and atmosphere.

Everything was on point. We had Honey Walnut Shrimp, General Tao’s Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Potstickers, and Pork Chow Mein, and all of it was delicious. My favorites were the Honey Walnut Shrimp, General Tao’s Chicken, and the Potstickers, so consider those if you’re not sure what you want.
Our server Sean was fast and attentive, making sure the food was good and that our sodas were filled. He came by several times asking if everything tasted good and if we needed anything else. The hot tea they provided was also very good. Don’t make the mistake of passing up this gem.
