Placed an order for a pizza. Was given a delivery time of 8 pm. By around 8:15 it hadn’t arrived. Called and asked what was going on. After some effort I got them to admit that my pizza wouldn’t get here until about 9:30. I had to leave here at 9:00 so that was a no go. Was effectively told that my order wasn’t a priority because I’m on The Plains and they “only have one driver.” No effort was made to reach out and let me know that my order would be arriving 90 minutes late. I would have just sat there waiting for it the whole time if I hadn’t finally called. I cancelled the order. Don’t order from here if you live on The Plains. If they “only have one driver” you’re screwed.

We were given a time of 4:57 when we went to pick it up, A guy with long hair told us to park and he will bring it out. It is a Saturday so I wanted to give them grace and time. But a hour later I called and apparently my pizza was just sitting there for a hour.. everyone did blame the guy with long hair who I was told was the manager… but why didn’t they follow up on a order that was just sitting there paid.. communication started with him but everyone dropped the ball. Food had to be re made because I just asked them to re heat it thinking it would be easy but it ended up burnt so they re made the entire order and got home and it was underdone. Unfortunately we won’t be back it was almost two and a half hours of waiting..

Okay, let me start off by saying a friend of mine told me Donatos Pizza in Athens was disgusting, so I took them at their word, but last night changed everything. I’ve had Domino’s, Avalanche, Papa John’s, pizza cottage and Plus One pizza and I’ve had nothing but problems from poor taste and skimpy toppings. So last night I decided to order from Donatos, and I was very surprised. The toppings were plentiful the crust was amazing, and the taste was outstanding. Everything was fresh, and in my opinion the best pizza in Athens. Thank you Donatos! You just picked up a repeat customer.

I ordered an individual pizza and 6 pieces of hot wings for lunch today and was having issues with my debit card,I had to call the cardholder to straighten it out and then when I tried to pay for my food the manager insisted that she was going to buy my lunch today out of her own pocket!!! That was super kind of her to do and hopefully someone at a higher level will see this and give that girl a pay raise!!! I love Athens,OH Donato’s and have always had a positive experience with the food and the employees.

Good food. Customer service is always bad. Today I ordered a sub for pickup. The email said it would be ready at 1:11. They gave it to me at 1:19. No cars in the parking lot. If you’re on a schedule, go elsewhere.

Placed an online order sat in the pick up line for 25 minutes passed the time the food was done. When our turn came at the window we sat for 5 minutes and we’re not acknowledge once by the staff. By far the worst run Donatos I have ever been to. I would recommend driving right by and trying a different restaurant in the area
