After living in Italy for 3yrs during service, relocated back here near family and we were all pleasantly surprised! The food is really good and feels very authentic. Most of the time at places you get oily pasta or pizza toppings with a way off ratio, not here! Definitely will be back here more often to enjoy some classics. Recommended for sure.

We enjoyed Amici’s very much. We had lasagna and stuffed shells with meat balls. The meatballs were excellent, and so was the lasagna. It’s a comfortable atmosphere and it seemed like everyone there was having a nice time. Were visiting from out of town. But if we lived in the area, I’m sure we’d be regulars.

Ordered 2 Spaghetti with extra marinara sauce (last time the dish was to dry). I implored them to please make sure they drain the pasta well as I don’t want water laying in the bottom. Last time I ordered, I got what I asked for. Here’s tonight’s order, water so much I used a paper towel to soak it up. Here’s the crazy thing, I’m local and there’s not many choices so I go back to this place just hoping my order will be okay and it rarely is!

Lasagna was very plain/bland, prices are high and when the check came the total was $49.xx I handed my card to the waitress she took it away and returned with the bill for me to sign and I noticed the total went up to $51.xx. I compared it with the original and the difference was an added not paying in cash fee that I was not made aware of. That just sets wrong with me, other places will bring out the bill and say you can have a discount for paying with cash, this seems wrong. Anyway the entire experience was bad, I will not go again, I do not recommend.

Some of the best food I’ve had in a long time, reasonable prices and large servings. The waitress was very nice and the building was clean. Well worth the hour drive to get there.

Going into Amici’s you would figure it was like most Italian restaurants, but you would be wrong. Extremely friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere, and the food is made with love, and tastes fantastic. The calzone is the best I’ve had in years, cooked to perfection, and isn’t overstuffed with ricotta like most places do. The sauce that goes with just expands on the flavor. I would definitely recommend anyone passing through to try this place, it’s definitely a hidden treasure.

My wife and I had a delicious meal at Amici’s Italian Bistro. My wife had a calzone and I had a meat lovers pizza. Very good food and reasonable prices. Our service was a little slow but I think UVA had a home game so they were slammed when we were there. Worth your visit!

Had a great day floating down the James and went here for lunch. The spinach dip was delicious and the staff friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Would definitely go again.

I’ve been dining at Sal’s in Fork Union and Gia at Lake Monticello for years and have always gotten several terrific meals at both places. I decided to try Amici’s in Scottsville with one of my favorites and was very disappointed. The veal in the veal marsala was very tough and barely able to chew. I’ve never had veal that made me lose my appetite. Thank Goodness that I had appetizers, and salad and spaghetti that came with the main meal. The waitress was AWSOME and have no complaints about her service. I might give Amici’s a second chance in the future. (Might)
