Tried the uncle Tony. Very, very sweet. Pretty disappointing when you’re expecting a nice savory Italian style sandwich. The bread tastes like it was brushed with honey as well as a very sweet sauce(imagine strawberry jam) on the sandwich. So much you cannot taste the cheese nor the meat. Next the “grilled” peppers and onions are not grilled. Seemed to be diced small and put in microwave or a steamer. Also couldn’t taste because of the sweetness. Next up, a Hot sandwich wrapped up in aluminum foil….. Equals bread soup. Soggy. Not tasty. Very thin on meat. Cheese mostly melted out. Chips were Herr’s so they were OK. Fountain drink is fountain drink. For all these reasons the price is outrageous. No thanks.

I threw most of it away. It’s all sweet and tastes funny. I’m not exactly sure what the draw is. Got the Uncle Tony and it has sweet bread with sweet sauce, it’s half dessert and half dinner. The cinnamon bread was inedible to myself as well. Not something I’ll ever try again.

I absolutely LOVE this place!!!! It is a MUST stop every time I come back home to visit!! You have to try everything on the menu! Their bread is delicious, so is the garlic bread and cinnamon bread. All the sandwiches are yummy. The pasta sauce is scrumptious! You can’t go wrong with anything here!! And the owner and his family are amazing people, I’ve known him for over 30 years! I’m still trying to talk him into a store near me in KY!!!

Employees are always friendly when taking your order. The order is always accurate. The food is unique and delicious. Prices in 2025 are pretty high. Even the mid week specials are expensive.
