Anyone who has anything negative to say about this place is out of their minds! Came here for some lunch and got the oxtail jerk chicken combo. Holy SMOKES! It was so delicious. The portion was huge. Everything was flavorful. As someone who has visited the Caribbean, I can say this is the real deal. Oxtails were meaty, jerk chicken had a nice kick and the plantains were amazing. I can’t wait to come back.

Ordered the Jerk Chicken and Ox Tail combo
The food was amazing. Portions are huge. Lady at the counter was friendly and fast. The only reason it wasn’t a full 5 stars is that the lady at the counter had to keep going to the back to help or tell the person in the back what to do so the wait was a little long. Other than that it was the best perk chicken and ox tail that I’ve had in SD. The plantains were excellent as well.

If you’re in the area or out of the area, I don’t see why you wouldn’t come here if you love Caribbean food or even it’s it’s your first time trying it. Every bite was packed with love and so much flavor. There was nothing left on my plate once I was finished. I ordered the jerk chicken and oxtail combo, a beef patty, and a coconut water. The owner recommended what I got and she did not disappoint! The goal came out to be just under $40.00, but considering the portion size that you get along with the quality of the food, it’s well worth the price. Put it this way: I ate this meal about 20 hours ago and I’m still not hungry! This place is a gem and a must try if you live in or are visiting San Diego!

The staff doesnt care about excellent customer service or politeness so if you come here for that, go somewhere else. But I love that them, straight to the point attitude and they dont care about your “special requests”

First time going here, they had delicious food, great service and a plentiful meal (for a big family). We ordered a large goat curry (12.50 for large), ox tail, and jerk chicken.
Also we ordered the patty (beef and chicken) it was delicious. The patty is like an breaded empanada with meat inside…
A lot of people were coming in ordering takeout, and also a few people eating inside.
Everything came out great and we enjoyed our meal (even had leftovers).
The environment is what’s expected on Imperial Ave. But the friendly service and delicious food is what gave this review 5 stars!

The jerk chicken was delicious and has a kick to it. The oxtails were tender and juicy. I love the portion size here. They are generous with it. I kept seeing regulars coming in and out so it must be that good. Don’t mind the sketchy area. It’s CASH ONLY!
