The salad was literally bag salad mix with some tomatoes, stale croutons and tomato slices. Which was $1 extra for adult meals.
Over all it was an okay meal. I would say on par with Olive Garden – with the exception of the salad.
The server was friendly, but it was like he was the only one serving any of the three tables that got sat while we were there.
They ran out of chicken parm right before we ordered, we both got fettuccine Alfredo. It was rich , but kinda on the runny side.
The bread was fantastic of course.
None of the tables were being bussed, but I guess with that many empty tables it’s not a big deal. However maybe I would have gotten a plate without a chip.
I’ve not been in a filthier restaurant in my life. The carpet looks like it’s never been cleaned in 50years and is actually black at this point. It took forever to be seated and the host didn’t seem to know what was going on. We sat at bar to get a drink while we waited and had to eventually flag someone down as we were being ignored. The drinks were cheap but odd, a green colored white sangria is…different.
We did finally get sat and the poor wait staff was really trying their absolute best but it was such a mess! No one working there had any type of uniform just in street clothes, we asked and were told management won’t order them shirts. Our waitress made a point of getting us silverware because apparently they don’t have enough and run out frequently.
I went to the women’s restroom and there was almost no toilet paper in any of the stalls, it was dirty and there was even a dirty plunger in the one stall.
The waitress assured us the kitchen was not filthy like the rest of the place but I don’t see how. Honestly we should have left but we drove 40min to get there because we had a coupon and then had already waited 30min before we started noticing everything.
DO NOT GO
Our waiter was friendly, but we were caught off guard by the dress code—or… lack thereof. He arrived in a hoodie, sagging jeans, and carried with him a very strong personal fragrance, the kind that suggests he had just stepped out of a… let’s call it a very mellow cloud. On the plus side, he refilled our drinks fast, possibly because he had an impressive case of the munchies.
The atmosphere was fun to look at, the artwork was interesting, and the place itself was clean. Sadly, the food just didn’t match. With only four other tables occupied at lunchtime, I’m guessing things won’t improve unless the restaurant does a serious revamp.
Overall, a disappointing visit—seems like getting a good meal out these days is becoming as rare as a waiter in actual uniform.
Our server was attentive and nice, and did an excellent job. Also, very cool building with trolley inside. They do need to take a duster to the bathroom to get out some cobwebs in a few corners.
First of all the starter bread with garlic butter was delicious by itself. I ordered the lasagna with meat sauce with a italian wedding soup. Which was really good. The Italian wedding soup was flavorful and yumne. The lasagna came with a generous portion of meat (and tomato) sauce on top. Really good flavors.
My friends ordered a meatball sandwich, and my other friend ordered the lasagna but with Alfredo sauce. Both of them said the food was very good and very filling. I think the food was very tasty, the portions were generous, and the price was was very good.
Would definitely come back the next time I’m in Dayton, and even though I enjoy trying new foods, I’d get the lasagna again in a heartbeat.
Our server was very sweet, kind and helpful.
The food was good. My Italian Wedding Soup had maybe 3 noodles and a ton of sausage balls. I was later told it was the last of the pot from the lunch crowd and when I asked for a to-go bowl for my leftover soup, I was given a new bowl from a fresh batch. Very nice gesture.
The bread is different as mentioned in other reviews.
