Grabbed take out and wow! The adult portion was the same size as a kids portion of spaghetti. The kids meal came with a side and a drink and was less expensive. The spaghetti was okayish. They got my order wrong. I wanted meat sauce and they sent meatballs. The meatballs were hard on the outside and mushy on the inside. Not a fan.

The salad was literally bag salad mix with some tomatoes, stale croutons and tomato slices. Which was $1 extra for adult meals.

Over all it was an okay meal. I would say on par with Olive Garden – with the exception of the salad.

We went about 8:30 and it was sad. The vibe was just blah, we put in reservation online and they had no way of even looking. Course we didn’t need it.
The server was friendly, but it was like he was the only one serving any of the three tables that got sat while we were there.
They ran out of chicken parm right before we ordered, we both got fettuccine Alfredo. It was rich , but kinda on the runny side.
The bread was fantastic of course.
None of the tables were being bussed, but I guess with that many empty tables it’s not a big deal. However maybe I would have gotten a plate without a chip.

ZERO stars, planning to call the health department!

I’ve not been in a filthier restaurant in my life. The carpet looks like it’s never been cleaned in 50years and is actually black at this point. It took forever to be seated and the host didn’t seem to know what was going on. We sat at bar to get a drink while we waited and had to eventually flag someone down as we were being ignored. The drinks were cheap but odd, a green colored white sangria is…different.

We did finally get sat and the poor wait staff was really trying their absolute best but it was such a mess! No one working there had any type of uniform just in street clothes, we asked and were told management won’t order them shirts. Our waitress made a point of getting us silverware because apparently they don’t have enough and run out frequently.

I went to the women’s restroom and there was almost no toilet paper in any of the stalls, it was dirty and there was even a dirty plunger in the one stall.

The waitress assured us the kitchen was not filthy like the rest of the place but I don’t see how. Honestly we should have left but we drove 40min to get there because we had a coupon and then had already waited 30min before we started noticing everything.

This used to be a “go-to” spot, but wow, it has really taken a turn. Several people in our group reported their meals were “warm-ish,” like the kitchen was trying its best but just couldn’t fully commit. Those who ordered lasagna said it was so bland it felt like it needed counseling. I got an alfredo dish, and while the flavor was fine, hitting those surprise cold spots was not exactly the adventure I signed up for.
Our waiter was friendly, but we were caught off guard by the dress code—or… lack thereof. He arrived in a hoodie, sagging jeans, and carried with him a very strong personal fragrance, the kind that suggests he had just stepped out of a… let’s call it a very mellow cloud. On the plus side, he refilled our drinks fast, possibly because he had an impressive case of the munchies.
The atmosphere was fun to look at, the artwork was interesting, and the place itself was clean. Sadly, the food just didn’t match. With only four other tables occupied at lunchtime, I’m guessing things won’t improve unless the restaurant does a serious revamp.
Overall, a disappointing visit—seems like getting a good meal out these days is becoming as rare as a waiter in actual uniform.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Half of the table got food and it was lukewarm. We waited another 25 minutes for the rest of the food to come out and the server never checked in with our table to update or let us know anything. We had to get another server to go back and check on the food for us. We never got refills at our table and the restaurant was not even half full. I would not recommend coming here unless you like cold unflavored food with no beverage.

I haven’t been in many yrs. I decided to make a trip back. My last experience service was good and the same goes for the most recent trip. My food last time wasn’t hot, this trip it was. I get spaghetti and meatballs. The issue was the meatballs on my previous trip. I do love the inside of this place. It hasn’t changed in all the years. It’s a historical atmosphere that takes me back to my childhood memories of coming here. When I was a kid there was always a wait now a days you get right in.

First time coming but not the last. Came here when going to an event at the nearby Dayton Convention center. The food was delicious.

Our server was attentive and nice, and did an excellent job. Also, very cool building with trolley inside. They do need to take a duster to the bathroom to get out some cobwebs in a few corners.

First of all the starter bread with garlic butter was delicious by itself. I ordered the lasagna with meat sauce with a italian wedding soup. Which was really good. The Italian wedding soup was flavorful and yumne. The lasagna came with a generous portion of meat (and tomato) sauce on top. Really good flavors.

My friends ordered a meatball sandwich, and my other friend ordered the lasagna but with Alfredo sauce. Both of them said the food was very good and very filling. I think the food was very tasty, the portions were generous, and the price was was very good.

Would definitely come back the next time I’m in Dayton, and even though I enjoy trying new foods, I’d get the lasagna again in a heartbeat.

Our family loves this special place right in the heart of downtown. The building is so cozy and fun. It has a lot of charm. The food is always delicious with generous portions. We’ve never had a meal that’s been less than stellar here. The service is always great. The last time we came here we had the sweetest server. We will always come to this place!

We visited around 4:00 on a Saturday. There was 2 tables of people in the entire restaurant and 3 families, us included, waiting in the front for almost 15 minutes for someone to help us or acknowledge we were there. The place just looks tired and dusty. The chairs had holes in the seats…some very large.
Our server was very sweet, kind and helpful.
The food was good. My Italian Wedding Soup had maybe 3 noodles and a ton of sausage balls. I was later told it was the last of the pot from the lunch crowd and when I asked for a to-go bowl for my leftover soup, I was given a new bowl from a fresh batch. Very nice gesture.
The bread is different as mentioned in other reviews.

Fun atmosphere. The restaurant could have been cleaned a bit more though. The Trolly Car floors were extremely sticky. Our waitress was great. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly, but the meat sauce was a bit sour for my liking. The dinner bread & side salad were good. Overall the price & amount of food was good for the Spaghetti Feast.
