The food here I feel like has the meaning in its restaurant name. It is Mo’ Bettahs in my opinion. The teriyaki chicken is so good and they recently added steam veggies to the menu. Trying to eat healthier and this meal was good for my diet. If you haven’t tried Mo’ Bettahs you should give it a try.

A friend of mine recommend Mo’ Bettahs to me and I had eaten here about 4 times in the past 2 weeks.

Very solid Hawaiian food. The Pulehu Chicken is my go to. Very tender and flavorful with some char.

Katsu chicken my second favorite with a nice crunch.

Love the Teri sauce. The Spicy Mayo was too tangy for me.

Mac salad and rice were good.

The Kalua Pig is good, a little on the dryer side.

I had the Teriyaki Chicken once and found it dry and a little tough. Probably an off cook, might try it again some other time. Still was good though, just not compared to the other selections of protein.

Service is great, but a tad inconsistent. Some days like my first time, my food was great and everything was in order. Some other days, mistakes happen or inconsistencies show up.

Sometimes there’s a bed of cabbage under my plate, sometimes there’s not. I also recalled that one time not all my items (2 spam musubis) were in the bag. I was able to retrieve them by driving back, but the wrapper had a kind of oil or grease sheen on them as they were handed to me. Which was odd, but it was fine.

Overall still a great place to have a good meal.

Mo’ Bettahs is easily my favorite spot for an authentic island experience. The Kalua Pig is perfectly smoky and tender, and I never leave without a side of their creamy Mac Salad—it’s the best I’ve ever had. I really appreciate how the staff lives the ‘Pono’ lifestyle; they are always friendly, patient with my kids, and the service is incredibly fast. The portions are so generous that I usually have enough for two meals. If you’re looking for a balanced, high-protein lunch that actually tastes like Hawaii, this is it! #EatMoBettah

We enjoy coming here. It knocks Hawaiin Bros out of the park.

The food is fresher and the POG juice is 1000% the best drink ever.

My overall experience was great; from the customer service to the ambiance and the service. We were greeted warmly and the staff was friendly. We looked around as they waited on us. It was a great place.

My two main complaints were the prices and the food. My wife and I’s meal came out to $65. I was not expecting that. Nevertheless, it was OK because we wanted to try it.

The food was missing something. I’m not sure what it was. I recognize I should not compare to what I have at home but I will say, when Mexicans come here, they can find a taste of Mexico here. I am not opposed to the tastes, but, I was expecting something else… a taste of “home” maybe?

However, I’m glad it’s bringing a little taste of home into the far reaches of Texas. My experience was great and if you set your expectations right (it’s not going to taste exactly like what you get on the islands), then you will be OK.

Grind on!

Chicken was tender, didn’t have much flavor. Despite this, the meat and macaroni salad were still better than the competition with a similar menu.

I went the week they opened and went again today for lunch! I got the two chicken items the first time and the mini teriyaki mix today.Unfortunately today’s lunch is totally different than the week they opened. The meat was too dry to even swallow. Last week the meat was tender and fresh. I wonder if the owner was hanging around and so everything was fresh? The guy at the window was rude to me but I hate this because I actually liked their food! I won’t go to Hawaiian bros because it’s not like the real deal to me. I guess I’ll have to make the drive to L&L when I want fresh authentic Hawaiian style food!

I love waiting in the drive through for 20 minutes while they “make it fresh” and getting home to find out my order is half wrong!

Reading a receipt and making sure the food matches seems like a rare skill at this place.

2 of 3 times, wont be a 4th.

Take the time to check your stuff at the window

First time trying Mo’Bettahs. It’s traditional authentic Hawaiian food. Having been to many Hawaiian Luaus it reminded me of my vacation time in Hawaii. I loved the restaurant decor, taste of the food was wonderful and service was quick. Ps get the bite size cookies! So wonderful! If you’re a small eater get the mini plate it’s 2 meats with rice scoop & Mac salad! It was the perfect portion for one person. I’ll go back again when I’m in the area! I’d only wish there was some “island music” playing softly to make the atmosphere 5 star!

Updated review and 100% redemption!
When I say the food is worth it, I can’t just stop going because of one mishap.
11/9, 8:30pm, I ordered the same thing as last time and I was in and out within 3 minutes. Order was correct, service was spot on and food delicious! Been 3x now and each time is so good. Updated photo with correct two scoops of rice and extra mac salad. TY!!!!

I arrived at 8:18pm in the drive thru. Ordered the EKOLU plate (per receipt). I was asked if I could wait 7 minutes and if I could park in the parking lot and they would bring it out. 8:33pm I walked inside to ask the status of my food and the drive thru attendant and the front cashier looked at me and the cashier said “she messed up” and he would get my order. I sat in the dining room till 8:59pm, no update from any staff. I finally received my food but it definitely left with a bad experience. 4-5 people got their food and counted 5-6 times the drive thru girl gave other cars their food. I’m not bashing anyone or the business but maybe train them to touch base with customers so they don’t sit there waiting and wondering. Delicious food but tonight was a miss on the service

Came home to incorrect order. What was ordered versus pictured. Wanted extra mac salad not rice. Lol win some, lose some. I should have checked before leaving but I was over it at that point

I Counted 4 cameras in the dining room. Definitely review the footage could be useful for training purposes. I was sitting at the middle table, close to the food pickup window.
