Overpriced @ $23 for only two items. (I regret not just going to Panda Express.) Cost must go towards the lease? Huge, empty space looked clean enough, but something felt stuffy for such a big area. Was just there for pick up. Crab rangoon filling tasted like plain cream cheese, and dough was too thick for me. Sweet-n-sour sauce was like burnt ketsup with honey. Soup was equally boring. Tofu and a shred of carrot or mushroom occasionally. Vegi stock? Little bouon? Nothing hot, or sour about it. Everything was fresh, but very bland. Something a geriatric patient may enjoy? Service was kind enough to take my order last minute, but had to ask for chop sticks. For that much money? Whatever it is going on my mouth had better rub my neck or something like that you know?

My best experience at a Chinese restaurant and this was my first time there. From the gecko I was greeted in such a friendly manner and my waitress was beyond nice as well. Food great/large portion size , very fast service, private dinning.Given the fact that it was almost closing time for the restaurant and overall experience was wonderful. I will be back for sure !

Been coming here 20+ years. Live in Salinas now, but always come back here when close by or for my bday. Food’s always good, staff are always nice. Not once have I had a bug or hair in my food. And its one of the only places that has white pepper as a table seasoning, which should be a standard for any chinese restaurant.

Favorite dishes are the deluxe won ton soup, szechuan tofu with pork, and mongolian beef. Their style of fried rice and chow mein is my preferred too. Everything always tastes perfectly seasoned and not too salty like some places (chef lees).

Food was terrible, got the chicken chow mein lunch plate and i kept getting salty bites of food everytime. Food had a weird taste. Way too salty, and the salt feels not mixed in. Chicken was gross chow mein as well. Panda express is better, was expecting better food. Overpriced for the kind of food you get. Wont ever come back.

I love that I can order with no sugar! Lunch plates are full. A complete meal includes a bowl of soup and appetizers. Staff are super sweet and during the holidays they are gifting beautiful calendars replicating scrolled water color paintings.

2023-0119 I’m giving credit where credit is due. My delivered Dinner C for two was awesome tonight! It was here in less then 20 minutes. The meat was so tender and the veggies had a perfect crunchiness. My potstickers were the biggest I’ve had. Truly a great meal!
2019-1212 @ 4:40pm, I just ordered the Dinner C for two with added potstickers. I told the person on the phone that I didn’t need the container of sweet and sour sauce or any of the other soy sauce, vinegar, etc. I didn’t want to waste something I won’t use. Then I asked for six little containers of chili paste and lots of fortune cookies. I was told it would be $1.00 extra for the chili paste and you only get 3 fortune cookies. I can’t believe I would have to pay extra for the chili paste after I omitted all the other sauces? I know you can buy a box with 100s of fortune cookies for $10 or so? After being a good customer for over 20 years, I hope to hear from someone to explain this to me!

I went to Golden China restaurant with some new friends I had met for an event at Sunset State Beach. After spending 2 hours driving around Watsonville the previous evening looking for a decent “familiar” place to eat, my new friends suggested Golden China. The food was okay, fried rice w/chicken is really hard to mess up.

I thought the service was very good, our waitress, “I think her name was Vicky”, was very attentive and polite.

My only real complaint has to do with the atmosphere, the restaurant looks outdated. I wouldn’t say, rundown, but it needs a refresh, it just feels old and shabby.

A true hidden gem in Watsonville! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making every visit enjoyable. The food is always fresh and delicious—I’ve even seen them preparing vegetables daily. Their orange chicken is the best I’ve ever had, with the perfect balance of crispy texture and flavorful sauce. The broccoli beef is also a favorite. This has become my go-to spot for Chinese food!
