I went here on Friday (a few days ago) after just walking by it and not going in for months. I legitimately cannot believe that I have been ignoring this place for so long! That is easily one of the best first impressions for a restaurant I have ever had.
The bartender, Kyle, was incredible – very knowledgeable on the food and drinks. The atmosphere was quaint, yet just enough for a bit of comradery among friends. The drinks were excellent – the Molbert Water was a personal favorite of mine. And the food… my God, that beyond surpassed my expectations. I had the Arancini and the Fish Frites, both of which are legit to die for. The fish just melted in your mouth, it was cooked so nicely.
The way that Kyle was describing all of the menu options, too, it honestly makes you want to come back for more, and that is exactly what I’m gonna do the next time I come! Thank you, Kyle, and thank you to the chefs behind the counter – I now have a new favorite restaurant in New Iberia!

Lizzie’s of New Iberia is an absolute jewel on the bayou. From its culinary expertise and exploration, extraordinary cocktails, and exquisite baked goods, it is truly world class. Stepping inside from downtown Main Street, you will find an atmosphere that is a chic and charming play of Neo-Victorian meets whimsical laid-back Southern elegance. Every bit and bobble contained within its decor is tastefully placed within a soft, pastel colored framework that makes you feel at home. There is no place quite like it in the state of Louisiana, and New Iberia is frankly lucky to have this exceptional place positioned right at its heart. Please support this business, and please promote it, every chance you get! May God bless Elizabeth, Eric, Kyle, and the whole staff.

Valentine’s evening at Lizzie’s unfolded less like a reservation and more like a carefully composed dining narrative. One in which hospitality, technique, and flavor moved in deliberate harmony. From the threshold, the staff delivered a level of polish and attentiveness that fine dining aspires to but rarely sustains: gracious, intuitive, and executed without pretense. Each guest was received with the same measured care, setting a tone of understated elegance.
The chicken penne arrived as a study in balance and texture. A cultivated medley of mushrooms lent earth and depth to a velvety cream sauce that was rich without excess, coating the pasta with precision rather than weight. The chicken, expertly sautéed, was tender and well-seasoned, absorbing the surrounding flavors while maintaining its own character, a disciplined, thoughtful plate that spoke to restraint as much as indulgence.
Equally compelling was the pan-seared salmon, its exterior achieving that coveted crust while the interior remained delicately translucent. It rested aside coconut curry rice that offered aromatic warmth and gentle sweetness, a composed counterpoint to the bright, spirited note of jalapeño cranberry chutney, a condiment that cut through with acidity, heat, and nuance, lifting the dish into a dynamic, layered finish.
As a traveler from the Mississippi Gulf Coast, one recognizes immediately when a restaurant understands both cuisine and welcome. Lizzie’s makes the journey feel not only worthwhile, but necessary, the kind of place that reminds you dining, at its best, is an act of craft, generosity, and quiet confidence. The owner and her staff have created something truly special: an experience that is elevated yet deeply sincere. New Iberia is fortunate to have such remarkable talent stewarding its table.

Amazing pastries and good coffee. The koign-amann is divine. Will definitely return for dinner. Update….came back for dinner and it was amazing. The cheese and meatball appetizer was monstrously delish.

Been a huge fan of everything Elizabeth and Erik have created since Caribbean Ice, so I had no doubts this place would be incredible! For our appetizer, we got the Arancini based off of a recommendation from our waiter. Omg. I had no idea cheese and rice could be so freaking good. I had the seared salmon for my entree and it was PHENOMENAL. Thinking about it daily. Drinks were also lovely. We had a slice of lemon cheesecake and espresso cheesecake and those were both amazing.
Also, you cannot go wrong with a single pastry Elizabeth makes. The cinnamon roll is to die for. Almond croissant? 10/10
Do yourself a favor and just go. This place is exactly what New Iberia needed.

This is a new pillar of cuisine for the city. Before Lizzie’s opened you basically had Jane’s Seafood, bojangles, or Caribbean Ice if you wanted really amazing consistently good food around here. And then Lizzie’s came in and added so much. Nothing wrong with those other restaurants, they fill their niches well from boil/ fried seafood, Sushi, and amazing burgers and dinner specials. But Lizzie’s provides a nice variety to the table. With food that is made to a quality that even the other restaurants have a hard time competing against. I hope the community understands what they got here, a restaurant with this quality is very rare in small towns. Support these people and let them continue to grow and innovate their menu!
