The food was bomb! I had the chicken katsu and a poke that I asked the gentleman to surprise me with. We also were gifted some brownies from 2 sweet older ladies that where there jus eating. They were good as well! My homie had chicken teriyaki which he enjoyed as well. I’ve been looking at this place for a while to try out and I’m glad I did. I will definitely be back when I’m on that side of town again! Thank you!

Excellent customer service, makes you feel extremely welcomed. The hospitality is there and the food is great. They serve decent size portions, it appears worth the cost. Not much beverage options but that’s okay.

I ordered the wasabi aoli katsu, the wasabi taste is there but not extremely overwhelming, the spice level is medium.
It’s followed with some rice and potato crab salad.

If you’re visiting and looking for some other inspired foods. I’d definitely give this a try!

The meat Jun is some of the best I’ve ever had. Reminds me of the kind I’d get on Oahu. The Kalua pork was amazing too.

Also got seared ahi which was ono.

We had the spicy furikake korean chicken which was good, added the noodles for $7 but I’d just opt for the included rice next time. The noodles were OK, wasn’t a fan of the fish cakes with the noodles. Also had the dynamite chicken katsu which was excellent. Wasn’t a fan of the crab potato salad though. All In all it was pretty good and will try more dishes in the future. Additional photos located on my profile page and videos on my YouTube page ( VivaLasVegasX )

I mostly looked a Garlic Butter Shrimp since Hawaii and this place has it pretty dang close. Food is just amazing! There’s also limited seating.. about 6 spots to sit only.

Overall, our experience here was pretty good. My wife really likes the spicy masago poke, can definitely taste the freshness. The portion of the poke bowl was on the smaller than expected side, but probably because of the fresh fish. The picked mango jars are also really good.

The garlic ahi was good despite asking for some red in the middle and it was cooked through. I’d try another ahi dish next time. The garlic mix would definitely be good with shrimp.

The fried noodles were okay, however they were missing some type of meat like char siu or spam to make it complete.

Meat jun and kalbi plate was good, however for the price i’d get it from somewhere that includes choosing your 4 sides to go with the plate.

The crab mac salad stands out, having crab in the mac added a nice twist to a popular side.

One of the few places that serve diamond head soda which was a surprise. They also have orange bang, lilikoi and green river.

The service here was top notch, cashier was super friendly and took time to explain menu items despite being busy.

Smaller store on the inside with minimal seating to dine in. When it gets busy, expect to take it home or eat in the car.

Ordered the Furakake salmon with Spicy Chicken Katsu. It was NOT good and it wasn’t cheap either. I felt like I wasted my money if I didn’t eat it but when I did, I felt that my blood pressure would be at risk. Finally, I ended up scraping off WHATEVER I could off my proteins. #1) ENTIRELY TOO SALTY! #2) I do NOT appreciate my food being drowned in a mayo like sauce. I wished that there was a better description letting guests know that the sauce would drown the food. I was thinking that it’s a “dry” seasoning. Also, the menu board is entirely TOO high on the wall. Everyone who walked in had to look up at the menu. It would have been more appropriate to have it at a eye level height.

First time here and wanted to try something different. Asked what the most popular plate was and told the Dynamite katsu chicken. I ordered with the spicy sauce on the side and felt the chicken itself was pretty decent. Rice is rice. The sauce was ok. Nothing really stood out or made me want to come back again. I can say this is the last time I’ll ever order Katsu chicken as every place I’ve order this item, it’s just average or below average tasting. In my opinion. Just nothing really stands out. Just breaded chicken is all it is. Paid 16+ dollars for this meal and would say not quite worth it but wasn’t bad tasting service was OK.

I saw Grinds 2 Da Max on Instagram and while I was in Las Vegas, I just happen to have a friend come here a couple days before I did. The picture of the food looked great, so we decided to check it out as I love good Hawaiian food. Well, Grinds 2 Da Max did not disappoint! The food is Da Bomb! They are located in the Wantai Plaza, unfortunately in a tiny space so there was not much tables to sit at if you wanted to eat in. Most people were doing take out. We were fortunate to get a table, so we did dine in. The whole time we were here, all the table were full and plenty of people waiting for their order or in line waiting to order. Everything we ordered was delicious and packed full of flavor! The only thing that could have had a little more flavor was the Hawaiian style Poke, but it could have been because everything else was packed full of flavor. When you are in Las Vegas, You need to come to Grinds 2 Da Max for some awesome Hawaiian food!
