Stopped by The Front Door Taphouse, a standout family‑owned restaurant in downtown Boise, and enjoyed the Chicken Caprese Sandwich with chips — fresh mozzarella, ripe tomato and basil on a perfectly toasted roll, paired with crisp chips made for an excellent lunch! The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and Justin (the manager) and his team clearly take care of every detail. If you’re looking for the best lunch spot in Boise with great food and service, this place is a must‑visit!

One of our favorite pizza—and much more—spots in Boise. Nice beer and wine selections, outstanding service, yummy pizza and sammie/salads. Don’t let the menu mislead you—they do have a gluten-free crust. Cozy vibe, close to easy parking.

If you’re in Idaho and craving the best pizza, look no further than The Front Door Taphouse! These guys really know how to make a pizza – every slice is loaded with flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly baked. The crust is always just the right balance of crispy and soft, and the toppings are top-notch.
The vibe of the place is awesome, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a night out with friends, this spot never disappoints.
Big thanks to the team at The Front Door Taphouse for consistently serving up some of the best pizza in Idaho. Highly recommend!

Absolute home run!! Ordered pizza to go. Small double cut (pepperoni cut in half) pepperoni and a large Capo Supremo. Brought home and threw in a pan to heat up and it was perfect. Fresh ingredients, and the crust is crispy, thin, and held up on its own. David Portnoy would be proud. Eating in house even better; warm ambiance of a classic pizza shop. Great staff and craft beer selection combine for a great ambiance. My go to.

I haven’t been here in years but everything was as I remembered. Jalapeno door poppers were pretty dang delicious. Good salads and excellent service. Isaiah is a gem and was just as sweet and professional as can be.

Second trip to this very nice place downtown Boise. Took my sweetie after work for her to try the Thai peanut pizza ad she is very picky about pizza. She loved it as I enjoyed it for a second time. The service is top notch and thank you Darrell for remembering my name. We will be back UPDATE. Wanted to get some better pics before they get busy.

They are always understaffed. Shoutout to Martin who does an exceptional job despite being the only working. And to the guy who yelled at Martin in front of everyone the other day over wait time, let’s a little more considerate of him being the only person working. He didn’t an exception job controlling the situation despite being shouted at and rushed around he provided amazing service for me and my fiancé. So much so that my fiancé wants to go back everyday since. KEEP IT UP BUD YOURE DOING GREAT.

I was in Boise on business and just happened to walk by this place. My first impression was not one of a pizza place. I saw just another bar slinging microbrews and passing off bar food as restaurant cuisine. At the end of my meal, I found nothing to convince me otherwise. If you can put yourself in this mindset Front Door does offer slightly above average pub grub and reasonable prices. I had a cobb salad. This is my go-to meal when on the road and in a new place. The service was quick and the meal enjoyable. Overall I found Front Door a nice enough place for either a quick meal or a place to hang out and have a few drinks.
