As someone who likes eating out but still wants to stay on the healthier side, I love Lotus 8. The food always tastes fresh and light, not greasy, and they have so many great veggie options. The stir-fried greens, dumplings, and noodle bowls are all super tasty and filling. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients and stick to authentic Cantonese flavors. I used to think I had to drive to Sacramento to get good Chinese food, but honestly, Lotus 8 has become my go-to spot in Folsom.

I ordered steam rice with sweet and sour pork for lunch to go. I asked the girl for a couple of each sauce she put in one soy sauce the rice was actually crunchy, rather than steamed.
And I tipped her $3 beforehand in good faith as I took my meal to go. At the very least for $3 she could have put in my two sauces I asked for a couple of each sauce not one soy sauce how are you going to choke down a big pile of steamed rice well it wasn’t steam but allegedly seemed rice with one soy sauce??

There is so much love and care put into all the food here. The flavors in every dish I’ve tried are wonderful. Dim sum, lunch specials… The prices are reasonable, too. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

Excellent asian cuisine, prompt service, elegant atmosphere, & family owned. Be sure to try the Pork Ribs Deluxe, and the pan-fried tofu with eggplant. Their wonton soup is made with pork&shrimp, hand made daily.

The lady waiter recommended the double eggplant and tofu, it is so delicious! Love it! Also like other food such as chow fen. Will come back next time!
