This place has gone down hill. No pun intended. I have been coming here for over 10 years now, since they were on the Hill. I tried something new this time, the steak and cheese. The meat did not taste fresh at all. And the season fries weren’t seasoned with anything. I’m having a hard time justifying spending $23 on a very mediocre sandwich and fries. Which is a shame because I love the family who owns the place. The current staff has zero passion for making good food and it shows. C’mon, do better. Free free!

Bovas is a late night spot to grab a bite that slaps, it’s always fresh and high quality. The line cooks really care about providing good food. Always greeted with friendly energy this spot not only serves hot fresh menu options but also has an entire convenient store within. Anything from toiletries to ice cream and freezer pizza. Perfect stop in and out of Boulder from the metro area.

Don’t order the buffalo chicken wrap with buffalo sauce inside, unless you like a dish that is unbalanced, as they put WAY too much buffalo sauce on mine. I’m a huge hot sauce fan and handle spice well, so that wasn’t the issue—there was just so much buffalo sauce that I couldn’t even taste the other ingredients inside the wrap. It may have been better had they actually added the guac I paid for. I’m sad to write this review as I haven’t had something this bad in a while I’m not a very picky eater but this was almost inedible :(( I’m hoping the other stuff on their menu is alright.

No question Best cheesesteak sandwich West of Philadelphia and that’s just the start … if you leave without getting some homemade baklava, you’re missing out. The baklava at Bova’s is the best I’ve ever had

One of the best lamb gyros I’ve had in Colorado. Fresh ingredients and savory sauces wrapped in a warm pita is a 10/10 any day.
I must stop here for lunch whenever I am in the area and I would highly recommend you do too.
These guys always lift up my day whenever I see them. Oscar assembles the sandwiches and he is a kind man with an amazing personality that takes pride in his craft. It’s the type of “bodega” vibe you would find on the east coast nestled away here in Boulder.
