Jamaican Jerk and Spicy Peach wings were both phenomenal and neither sauce tastes like it was from a bottle like some places.

Chicken Parm hoagie was delicious as well and the marinara was very flavorful.

My only complains were that the fries were soggy (I’m sure they were fine when they were fresh, so no points lost there) and I wish there was an option to add sauces to a pickup order. Unless I was missing something, I couldn’t find a way to buy extra marinara or other dipping sauces. 🙁

Overall, definitely ordering again!

Edit:

Came back and it hit just the same. I can now recommend the buffalo, the chipotle BBQ, and the citrus wings. The “black and brew” wrap was delicious as well and absolutely stuffed with meat.

Took a little to get asked for a drink while they talked to regulars but I did finally get a very nice helpful bartender. She got my drink quickly. And a menu. She took my order when I was ready. The food came out extra quick but wasn’t very busy and was just a BLT with fries. BLT was very good and the regular fries was like fair fries and extremely good. I also liked the house made Cole slaw and I’m tough on Cole slaw. Beer was cold and water was tasty lol. They do have a HUGE local and domestic selection of beers. If back in town on bussiness I’ll go back for sure. Money spent on one person based on I ordered extra side so could be under $10 if wanted

The deep fried pepperoni rolls are AMAZING! My niece and I shared the crab dip, which was good. She ordered and liked the Hawaiian bowl. The server was fantastic.

The food was average at best. The cauliflower wings were the good. The onion rings were extremely oily (The US would invade it). We had 3 different burgers, all of which lacked flavor. The Guinness beer was horrible. The espresso shake was good. The bar offered over 25 taps, most of which were unavailable and no marking to indicate which ones were unavailable.

The trivia was really fun, and had a good setup with TVs to view the questions. Unfortunately, during the last question, although we got the answer right, we were given negative points. Now, I would spend the time discussing this with the trivia host, but the food was not worth arguing over 15$.

Overall, people were nice, the food could be better.

Incredible Food, Great Beer, and the Best Pepperoni Rolls in WV!
Gibbie’s Pub & Eatery is the spot to hit in Morgantown! This classic college-town sports bar has everything you could want—an awesome laid-back atmosphere, friendly service, a surprisingly diverse selection of beers on tap, and, most importantly, some seriously incredible food.
Let’s start with the fried pepperoni rolls—easily the best version of this regional food we had while visiting West Virginia. These aren’t your typical pepperoni rolls; they’re more like pizza egg rolls, crispy and golden on the outside with a perfectly gooey, cheesy, and pepperoni-packed center. Absolute perfection!
The baked-then-fried wings were another unexpected standout. I’ve never had wings prepared this way before, but wow—juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor. The baking locks in all the juices, and then frying them gives them that perfect crunch. Easily some of the best wings I’ve had anywhere!
The vibe at Gibbie’s is relaxed and welcoming—whether you’re grabbing drinks with friends, watching a game, or even bringing the family for a casual meal, it just works. If you’re in Morgantown, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Never disappoints for a chill atmosphere and great bar food. It’s an older building with older bar type furniture. Lots of little nook like seating areas with raised platforms and large brass railings. I dunno, I enjoy it.. lol.

I have been here a few times for lunch. Service is friendly and the food is always the same. Butter toasted buns, batter dipped fries, the good batter dipped onion rings, and bottomless drinks 😉

It was late and not much was open, but they took our orders, and let us hang out until we were all done talking and catching up.
They have a great bourbon selection, a great bar food menu and a nice college pub atmosphere. I’ll definitely go back.

Gibbie’s is 100% losing money by not ending their contract with Stephen, the Thursday night karaoke DJ. As a 3+ year regular at Thursday night Karaoke regular, I have watched the Thursday night crowd shrink by more that 3x in the last year since they fired the last DJ, but Gibbie and Baltimore Sound refuse to replace Stephen. He will sing his own song for karaoke, let 3 people sing, then do his own song, let 3 people sing, then sing again and take a 20 minute smoke break, not to mention he starts at least an hour after karaoke is supposed to start, if not more. Stephen has also resorted to shortening songs without saying so out loud to save himself work while he collects at least $400 per night for as little work as possible. Stephen triples the effort to minimize his nightly work so he can try to collect a free check, and he’s costing the establishment money, despite the incredible friendliness of the FOH staff and excellence of the BOH staff in their cooking. If Gibbie wants to see his establishment continue to succeed as both a restaurant AND bar, he needs to insist on a new DJ. 10-15 patrons per Thursday cannot sustain the continuance of karaoke as regular patrons know it, and is losing the bar money. Fire Stephen. Everyone else on staff is incredible.

Decided to hang out and grab some food and drinks with my coworkers for the night. Figured since we our job is walking distance and the parade was happening, it’d be a good choice. Neither of us had the experience of dining inside, but ordered food from there before….

Of course we knew it was going to be PACK, since it was Homecoming Weekend, but I definitely commend the service and the server we had.

Getting drinks for 4 people did take about 20 minutes, getting 3 different appetizers took about 30, but the food was Hot, Comforting & Rational sizing for 4 people.

Only major complaint is the size of the restrooms. The bathroom stalls are way too small. location of restroom by far back tables make it uncomfortable with people hovering over your table while your enjoying your food and drinks, and size of tables in booth was not enough room

An absolute institution of Morgantown nightlife. I come here for date nights with my boyfriend. I come here to start my nights. I come here to end my nights. The bar is cozy, familiar, and warm; a home away from home. The people who work here are amazing. The food is to die for. The tap list is impressive. I dream of the long islands. If you haven’t come to Gibbie’s and gotten an order of pepperoni rolls and a pint, literally what are you doing?
