The lady who works there gave me attitude over the phone when ordering and even worse in person, for absolutely no reason. I was polite the whole time but she looked at me and moved her head around with her eyes popping out and just blinked at me with a bad attitude. I apologized for standing there? Then proceeded to ask about my order.

Food was decent. Drinks were great.

Terrible customer service. Who hired this lady?
Mind you, this was one lady. Not sure about the rest of them.

Calling in your order works best. Soup is hearty and delicious, but so are the California and Carne Asada burritos. Bean, cheese, and rice burritos are a great option plus their taquitos! The Monster burrito is perfect for gatherings or a party.

I know it sounds funny but I came into this restaurant looking for something that was keto friendly so I figured a chile relleno would work.. however when I got it, it was breaded rather than cooked in the egg white batter..traditionally that’s the way its done. Was too bread-y for me..so if you didn’t know any better you’d probably think this is OK.. the relleno Itself was tasteless.. But I was able to taste was the red sauce that is smothered all over it.. I’m disappointed because I figure with the name like Jilbertos that it would be something authentic but this place is a lot more like a fast food spot. The cashier Also did not even acknowledge I was standing there while she prepared another person’s food. A quick I’ll be right with you would have sufficed. Atleast they had carrots and salsa that were decent..

This is a togo window only, it isn’t a seating restaurant. After visiting this location I find the quality and portion size far superior to the jilbertos in Rincon. Although there isn’t seating, it’s worth swinging in. The cook pumped my food out extremely fast, and the portions were explosive. The size of the burrito is what we used to get in Rincon before the prices went up and the sizes shrank. The flautas were huge, and delicious. The burrito was on point, and big! Just the way we always expected it from jilbertos. Did I mention the prices are also still reasonable and not covid inflated?

This place is one of those “hole in the wall” locations thats located inside of a small market. It doesn’t look like much, but their food is delicious. I really liked their Carne Asada burrito. They pack it with lots of meat and flavor. The nachos and cali burrito were just as good.
Kick it up a notch and serve yourself some salsas, especially the chipotle sauce. It’s a must. The only drawback is the long wait due to its popularity. I recommend that you call ahead.

I stopped in at Jilberto’s Mexican Restaurant and was not disappointed. The food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor—exactly what you’d hope for from a solid local Mexican spot. The portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade. The staff was friendly and quick with service, even during a busy time. The California burrito hit the spot. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. If you’re in the area and craving good Mexican food, Jilberto’s is worth the stop!

I enjoy Surf & Turf burritos. Hands down, this place makes the best money can buy. All their food is spectacular. It’s not much to look at. It seems only the locals know about this place. It consists of a girl behind a podium screaming through a little square window which your food comes out from. There’s no tables or chairs. But I promise you, you will have the best Mexican food you have ever had.
