We’ve been aiming to eat here for a few years during our annual visit to WDW but can never get a table at a sensible time. Booked exactly 8 weeks ago and managed to get 6:50pm – perfect.

We arrived a little early (for once the traffic on the I-4 wasn’t too bad!), checked in and had a message back to say our table was ready. It’s a nice location upstairs in the Polynesian looking over to the Magic Kingdom.

We knew the food was all you care to enjoy but didn’t know how it was served – basically you get a salad and bread rolls then a skillet of wings, potstickers and noodles. After that you get bowls of individual items – shrimp, chicken thigh and pieces of beef in an Asian sauce. All of the food was really tasty and well cooked – we liked them all!

Our sever wasn’t the best – didn’t feel he was on the ball at all. My wife’s pre dinner drink arrived after we had eaten half of the food and only when we had complained.

It’s always difficult to say what in Disney is good value as arguably nothing is but we did feel on this occasion that $67 wasn’t bad.

This has always been my most favorite restaurant. Sure, it’s expensive, but I’ve had great memories at Ohana and have never had a bad experience.

The sweet bread and butter they start your meal with is heavenly. I’ve legit eaten an entire loaf by myself. The salad is good. The platter of noodles, pot stickers, veggies, and chicken wings is so flavorful and addicting. You’ll be asking your waiter for more noodles and pot stickers. Chicken, shrimp, and steak are brought as well. You end the meal with one of the best desserts ever…..warm bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and a side of warm caramel sauce to pour on top.

Cocktails are great. Love the Bahama Mama.

What a delicious dinner experience at Ohana that I wanted to visit it twice on my trip!

Ohana is an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal with preset items that you can ask more of at any point.

The meal started off with the pineapple bread and the honey butter – oh was this fantastic and warmed and the salted butter paired so deliciously with the sweet honey. It was hard to share.

The salad arrived and we were told the dressing was on its way. It wasn’t until mid meal that the server came back with the dressing stating they had forgotten about it. We still ate it raw.

This was where my hunger kicked in because I stopped taking pictures and just enjoyed the meal.

Next came the noodles, chicken wings, and the pot stickers. Everything was SO good that we immediately asked for more. The noodles were probably the star of the two with a nice salty flavour. The noodles could have been a little less over cooked, but they were still a hit.

The meat arrived and we had quite a few. Peel and eat shrimp, chicken thighs, teriyaki beef. The surprise hit was the guava pineapple glazed thighs. We didn’t expect it to be so flavorful whilst not being overly sweet or pronounced guava flavoring – we ordered seconds!

The meal was capped off with the Ohana Bread Pudding. Oh wow! We had this on our first night of our trip and I thought and talked about it everyday until we went home. I was absolutely in love with it. I wished I didn’t eat so much during the meal and saved myself room for 2nd dessert! So so so good.

I would definitely come back to Ohana. We had a truly great meal, though the service could have been better as everything kind of came all at once where I would like to enjoy each round before the next arrives. The atmosphere was also good as we managed to book a time during the Magic Kingdom “Happily Ever After” fireworks where we were able to watch from our seats with the music filtering into the restaurant – a truly great start to my first Disney visit.

We specifically chose Ohana for the breakfast character dining experience over Chef Mickey, 1900 Park Fare, and Cape May because our son wanted to specifically see Mickey and my wife and I didn’t want the zoo of Chef Mickey.

First the very good- POG juice is always a favorite and you’re in the highly themed Polynesian. You also get Lilo and Stitch characters, which are rarer meet and greets.

Second, the good- the food is family style, meaning they bring it to the table in a big skillet and if you want more, they will bring it. This means no buffet trips and the food was fresh. We are not huge buffet fans, and when you do a character buffet you often worry about missing characters (even if cast members will make sure they come back). Ohana has wide aisles for the characters to come through so you don’t feel totally cramped.

Third, the okay- the food is good, not great, and you don’t really get a ton of variety- waffles, sausage, ham, potatoes, eggs, fruit. Nothing super exciting. The potatoes were awesome (seasoned, crispy edges, tender centers) but the eggs were below mid. Stitch waffles were better than Mickey waffles, and I love Mickey waffles! The coconut pineapple bread is unique- some people LOVED it, others were indifferent, and our youngest son was NOT a fan. You’re also guaranteed to only see the characters once because the dining area is huge. You might also have to dilly dally for 20 minutes to see them. Luckily they were on our side of the restaurant when we arrived, but they had only gotten about 3/4 of the way around when we left, and we didn’t just swallow our food and run.

Is it worth it? Do you have a kid who loves Lilo and Stitch? The Stitch character was great! Are you doing multiple other character dining experiences? Do you have a non park day planned? Do you have $150-$200 for a family of 3-4? Will your kids want to see characters in parks? I wouldn’t kill 1.5 hours of park time to do it, but if you answered yes, to some of the other questions, I would say yes. We do NOT regret our Dec at all, and it was actually a 4.5-5* experience for our family. However, we did research and were well informed of what we were getting. This would not be the highest dining recommendation for other families.

As a local and someone who has been to most of the all you can eat restaurants at Disney I will give my opinion as someone who has been here a few times.

When comparing this to the other all you can eat at Disney this is one of the more expensive ones. However the food is one of the best. The atmosphere is also amazing especially if you get a window seat. I think they have a good mix of meats and shrimp is served with the meal. I would say the steak, shrimp, and desert are excellent.

The stitch juice is also a very light and refreshing juice. If you can manage a window seat you can see the Seven Seas Lagoon and fireworks.

This is a great place for kids or a romantic evening. If you are trying to figure out a place to go on your vacation I would recommend this as one of the top of your list. The service is always excellent too.

We brought our kids here for the character breakfast. The atmosphere was so much fun. Every person we encountered was pleasant and inviting.

The pineapple ham was so good and the eggs were so fluffy. The kids of course loved the character waffles. Our waitress checked on us often but never made us feel rushed.

I was surprised by my boyfriend with reservations for my birthday dinner! From the ambience to the amazing flavor and the great customer service my birthday was definitely one for the books. We came in October and the park had the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom and we were able to enjoy the fire works from our table and we heard the audio for the spectacle as well. The only thing missing was the visit of Stitch which is my all time favorite Disney character for it to be perfect.

This is THE Flagship restaurant at the Polynesian Resort. This is a character dining restaurant during breakfast; and you can meet Mickey, Pluto, Stitch, and Lilo here. I personally don’t like character dining but this was alright. The service is alright though.

The food itself is pretty good. I like how soft the biscuits are and the eggs. Everything else was just alright, but it’s not worth putting forth $50. Overall, I won’t be coming back here in quite some time.

Maybe I expected more from the social media hype. I was very excited to try the pineapple coconut bread. To me it’s just homemade Hawaiian rolls with little bits of canned pineapple pressed inside and some icing on top. I didn’t see any coconut or taste coconut flavor. We didn’t order any refills on our food because we were two adults one child. The excitement was too much for my toddler to eat and they wouldn’t allow me to take our food to go. I understand that people try to cheat the system, but we had not gotten any refills this was just the food they brought to our table in the beginning and I knew it would be thrown in the trash. My toddler was hungry soon after and I had just spent $150 for breakfast! If you can afford it still do Ohana to have the experience. I just think it’s overpriced. If you’re trying to decide which character dining- I preferred Story Book dining at Wilderness Lodge we had for dinner the night before. About the food at Ohana’s- The food that came in the skillet was all really tasty I did enjoy the sausage links and the ham. The scrambled eggs were the fluffiest softest eggs I’ve ever had in my life. The island potato wedges were seasoned perfectly. Plenty Mickey waffles to enjoy! Fresh fruit yummy, we all love fruit in our family. The food was really good. I just don’t think the value was there.

From the moment I arrived at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the birthday love was in the air. Every staff member—from the hotel entrance to the dining room—greeted me with warm and cheerful birthday wishes that made me feel incredibly celebrated and special.

At ʻOhana, the hospitality was unmatched. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive, and Chef Jay (Jermaine) went above and beyond by personally coming to my table to discuss my allergy concerns. He not only ensured my food was prepared separately with extra care, but made me feel safe and seen as a guest with dietary restrictions.

And to top it all off? I was surprised with a sweet birthday treat that made the celebration even more magical. The service, the atmosphere, the aloha spirit—it was all perfection. I truly felt like family. Can’t wait to return! ✨
