At our West Plains, MO location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

This is a good fast food fish and seafood place. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very clean. The food is served promptly and hot. And it tastes good for a fast food fish and seafood. I qualify that a little as there are a couple other restaurants in West Plains that do fish extremely well. And that is not to be critical of the fish here. It’s a nice place to eat and I have never been disappointed.

Been going to Captain D’s for close to 30 years in multiple states. Always good service and the food is good too. We were there yesterday, and generally everything was OK, unfortunately there’s something different about the country style fish. The corn meal breading isn’t the same, plus the fish itself was off, and the macaroni and cheese was cold also. Last question, it’s been over 6 months since you had the clam strips, the “p__ demic” excuse is getting old. I do like the lobster rolls though, very good.
