The burgushi was probably one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, which caught me by surprise. The flavor was amazing and I was pregnant at the time with lots of food aversions. This completely hit the spot. My husband loved his burger and the couple we were with thoroughly enjoyed their sushi choices and poke bowl. Reservations are a must on the weekend, but easy to book. We really loved this place and our server was great!

We popped in for a few appetizers while we waited for our reservation at another city walk restaurant. There were at least 20 couples/families waiting in line at the door for a table. We got super lucky however; the bar upstairs is first come first serve and we found three bar stools next to each other where we could sit. That said, I wouldn’t bank on getting lucky, and I definitely recommend getting reservations if you want to dine without having to wait. The restaurant is enormous with booth and table seating throughout both floors. There is an elevator for ease of accessing the second floor. The entire restaurant is decorated retro 60’s ish with bright bold colors and patterns. They have a beautiful fishtank too. As I mentioned, we only had appetizers, but the sushi and crab Rangoon dip were awesome. The service, even at the bar was slow and the servers weren’t exactly friendly at first. The bartender warmed up to us after a while, which greatly improved our overall experience. The prices were a little overpriced given what you get, but I give them some leway since it is a tourist thing. If you want sushi, this is the place to go. Otherwise there are plenty of other options with better service at the City Walk.

Our experience was on Christmas Eve so we expected service to be slower as it was extremely busy. We booked a reservation so it made it easier to get it.

Food was excellent, truly divine. We got the burger sushi and two burgers to share. We fully recommend the sushi to everyone the valence of burger to the sushi ratio is amazing and the crunch on the outside is perfect.

We had the buffalo chicken sandwich and the Burger Doughnut! Wow both are spectacular the flavour is phenomenal and the portions were just right for us (Brits).

We will be back!

Good value and quality food in a great location.

Food – we went with our servers recommendation for the Rise and Swine burger, which was one of the better burgers we’ve had in the trip. Bacon was flavourful and the 1/2 pound burger nicely cooked. We also had a CBCLT burger which was similarly good. Tuna sushi roll tasted fresh and with 9 pieces more than enough. The kids both had mini burger bento box which was enough for an 8 and 6 year old – any older and you’d need to go for an adults meal.

A good selections of cocktails and mocktails too on the drinks menu, not that we tried any this time!

Service – our server (Summer) was really welcoming and made some great recommendations. Drinks were regularly refilled and orders taken quickly. We went at about 530 and didn’t not have to wait for a table (we did not have a reservation). Food came quickly as well. When we left at 630 there was about 20 people in line outside waiting for a table.

Atmosphere- good music and nice mix of indoor and outdoor areas. Top floor (restrooms and bar) felt cold when we went up there, but main restaurant below was fine.

Overall, would recommend as a stop after a day at the park. For the price, it’s a lot better than what you would get around the park

Many have told me that Orlando is not really known for its food, but The Cowfish was fantastic. The menu is unique, the ambiance is inviting, and the staff are all professional and friendly. All our food was good. The burgers were flavorful, and the Firecracker roll was solid. The All-American Burger Sushi roll was a particular standout. A fusion dish that gives you the best of a burger and sushi at the same time. The wait was a little long, and the food is pricey, but it is worth it. And our waiter, Ian, was fantastic. He was thoughtful and engaging, suggesting dishes and explaining things without talking down to us. Dude could teach a class on how to be a good waiter. Thanks so much for kicking off our Orlando adventure in such a great way! If you find yourself at City Walk, do yourself a favor and hit up The Cowfish.

Do not pass this spot up! What a cool place. Everything about it. The concept, the vibes, the sushi ( !!!!!), the drinks, the servers…it’s all incredible. So good we went twice during our short universal trip. Also, my kids are *the* allergy kids. They were fantastic in accommodating their allergies while giving us the confidence to let our kids eat there safely. This will always be one of our stops when we’re in town!

Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar is a fun and unique spot at CityWalk that really does cater to mixed tastes. We visited on a cold February night and requested indoor seating, but were encouraged to sit outside on the heated patio. Most tables were under heaters, but unfortunately ours was tucked into a corner without one. Between the chill and the loud outdoor music coming from Red Coconut Club across the way, I did find myself wishing I had stuck with my original request for indoor seating. For reference, the main dining room is on the second floor, and the bathrooms are on the third floor.

That said, the food made up for a lot. We started with Big Al’s Yellowtail, which came with thinly sliced sashimi, jalapeño, and ponzu. It was fresh enough and enjoyable, even if not what I would call premium sushi. We also ordered the Tropical Storm Roll, which was colorful, flavorful, and hit the spot with its mix of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, sauces, and a wasabi yuzu dipping sauce. Unfortunately, how the roll was assembled every piece stuck to the plate and the bottom pulled leaving each piece torn. This was discouraging but still tasted good.

The real win of the night was for my husband, who does not eat sushi. He ordered The C.B.C.L.T. burger and absolutely loved it. The combination of cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, white cheddar, Cowfish sauce, and a brioche bun was full of flavor, and he left very happy.

A quick note worth mentioning, the bathrooms were clean, well stocked, and fresh smelling, which is always appreciated in a busy entertainment area. Parking was free in the garage after 6pm.

Overall, Cowfish is a solid choice when one person wants sushi and the other wants a great burger. Next time, I will definitely stick with indoor seating, but I would happily return for the food alone.

Feb 2026: Stopped in first time to grab some sushi. They’ve got many great choices on the menu. Did carryout and got the Sushi grade Tuna Nachos and Goat In The Garden Salad. Both were fabulous. Coulda used more avocado on the nachos, but they were still delicious and cooked correctly. The salad was one of the best salads I’ve had anywhere.
Staff helpful and patient. You have to climb 3 sets of stairs, or take an elevator, to get there from the front. The back is walk-in level. Will return.

My husband, his family, and I stopped here to eat while on the city walk and it was better than expected! The poke bowl drew me in and the burgers sold them.

The music they played was family friendly and actually good. I just got off a cruise the prior day and thats family friendly bad music so to hear good music was sooo nice.

My waitress seemed like it was her first time in customer service, but the others stepped in enough that it was hardly noticable. Rooting for you girl, you got it! ❤️

Portions were insanely good, didn’t have to eat for the rest of the day jeez. I got the salmon poke bowl, my husband got the rise and swine with the truffle fries and 10/10.

Expensive due to being at CityWalk, but worth it.

Our server Brandon (spelled differently, sorry!) did an excellent job! Very busy night but he helped us with everything we asked for and all the good was delicious. The kids meal bento boxes were well done. Thank you for having the vegan sushi roll. Wish there was more than one choice for a vegan roll because it was very good. My sister had the non vegan cheeseburger roll and loved it.
