I think this restaurant has good ideas and the service was great, but they are lacking in one major area: our food was cold. I had the roast beef and the mashed potatoes and beef were actually cold under the warm gravy. The biscuits and gravy had cold gravy, I was told. The sausage had a good flavor, I will say. When we entered, there was a paper sign taped to the door saying that they were looking for a cook. Perhaps they were short staffed that day? At any rate, it would be much improved if they had actually heated the food up. The place has potential, in my opinion, but it was a bit of a bummer on the day we attended, admittedly.

A true Springfield gem! Have seen this place for about a year now but have never stopped in. If you’re contemplating coming here for breakfast, do it! By far the best breakfast food I’ve had across multiple states! Everything is made from scratch, excellent service and great prices! Definitely added to the repeat list!

Sometimes we like to checkout places not that popular. Places we don’t see on YouTube or on social media. We came across this place, Luca Family Restaurant. My wife likes Mexican food and I usually like breakfast. So we compromised and chose this place when we got off our flight at Springfield Airport. The service was excellent, only one server throughout the restaurant. But she quick, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Lots of seating and looked very clean. Prices were reasonable and portions were ok. I had the Luca burrito and it was ok. The steak quality was good. It was cooked good, but the meat quality had a lot of grizzly and chewy texture. I would suggest, going with sausage or seasoned ground beef. But the rest of the family’s food came out good. Hash browns were cooked golden brown and pancakes were lightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. All in all it was pretty good. Lots of free parking and no waiting.

We have seen lots of comments on Fb about this place. It was after lunch but before dinner. The normal slow time. Greeted and seated immediately. Very nice inside for a small family restaurant. We chose a booth. Nice cushion and clean table .
My adult daughter choose the pork steak breakfast. Eggs were cooked to a perfect over easy . Hash browns were cooked but not crispy, kinda soggy. But she forgot to order them well done or crispy . Pork steak was tender and seasoned well. The server asked her how she wanted her steak and gave an automated response of medium rare. It came out medium rare. She didn’t mind . I like my pork Cooked appropriately, but she just thought “steak” she finished her plate
She had a biscuits and gravy as well . Decent peppered gravy with a few bites of sausage . Nice fluffy biscuit and not too much salt .
We also had a traditional club. With fries . The Club was a club . It’s done everywhere : bread was toasted nice . Veggie were good and not over ripe or soggy . Now the fries (most Likley frozen) were the best restaurant fries we’ve had in a long time . We will come back just for the fries and more
I settled on the Philly cheese steak sandwich. Now is it a Philadelphia made sandwich… no but this was made with REAL STEAK … not just chopped up roast beef or the frozen hockey puck. Freshly grilled onions and peppers seasoned to perfection. Soft hoagie and melted cheese . With those amazing fries
I also ordered a side salad without asking or looking on what’s inside .
Iceberg lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumbers and lots of them , cheese and a pepperoncini and saltines . For $5 it’s a decent salad . I don’t usually eat cucumbers, but I suffered thru it. They were actually decent tasting .
Ranch dressing was good, but I’ve had better .
Over all . This is a good place and decent prices
For 3 ppl and 3 drinks we spent $60 with a decent tip
We will be back. Not sure when as we live 1 hr away

The dining room was very clean and the decor was simple and elegant. The wife and I both ordered salad with our dinner the salad came out the same time as the dinner it had Saran wrap on top of it. I took one bite and it was very bitter and I looked at the salad and it was brown. When my lettuce at home gets that brown I throw it away should not have been served. My wife had Monte Cristo sandwich as it was good but was surprised to it see that it had cinnamon on it. The highlight of the dinner was the country fried steak or chicken fried steak it’s on the menu two different places same just makes a difference if you order breakfast or dinner. Country fried steak was tender and tasty mashed potatoes seem to be real and the grave was good and I also had golden hominy. I got a feeling they specialize in breakfast items. Also I noticed the prices on the menu was very very reasonable I would go back to this place again I just don’t think I’d order a salad. Should have been excellent the first time you charge us 5.50 a salad that’s $11 for food we could not eat we could eat. If that’s what you call an inconvenience.

We wanted to try somewhere that deviated from our normal breakfast spots, and Luca did not disappoint! I went with your basic sausage and cheese omelet combo (so good!) and my partner devoured the country fried steak skillet (also so so good!) Both pictured. Their coffee was also really nice and I loved the variety of creamer cups provided! Our server today was also very pleasant and helpful! Thank you for a great breakfast!

Luca Family Restaurant is family friendly. The cook is originally from Cedar’s. That same type of homestyle food is available here. There are daily specials available. The menu has a wide variety of items. The cost is affordable. The wait staff are extremely pleasant and accommodating. If you want a quiet place that has great food give Luca Family Restaurant a try.

Amazing! If I could give it 10 stars I would. The food was truly home cooked and delicious. Sure wish they lived in KC instead of Springfield.. they would put all the restaurants to shame up here.! The owners brought the food out and checked back with us to make sure everything was .. wish I would have taken pictures of everything we had. Breakfast is served all day and that CINNAMON ROLL is huge and delicious. The waitress was super friendly and fabulous. Such a nice family place. We will definitely be back when we are in Springfield.

Food came out incredibly fast. Our waitress (didn’t get a name but was working at 5PM on Fri March 24th) was very attentive and provided excellent service. All of our food was good but the omelets were absolutely amazing! We will definitely be returning.
