Located at 699 14th St on the corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The brasserie is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the Art Nouveau movement of Paris. Please note that kitchen hours may differ.

A special thank you to Amine, who made our evening unforgettable. His service was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, genuinely courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were absolutely spot on, and each dish exceeded our expectations. The food itself was outstanding, beautifully presented and full of flavor.
Thank you to the entire team for creating such a memorable and special experience. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend both L’Boucherie and Amine to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.
The highlight of the evening was the duck — truly incredible and perfectly prepared. Between the beautiful atmosphere, outstanding service, and delicious food, it was a perfect night. We’ll definitely be back!
Our server Hugo was super welcoming and gave solid recommendations. The French onion soup was okay (I’ve definitely had better) but the espresso martini? Easily one of the best I’ve had. Very tasty and strong.
I’d recommend this place for a special occasion, especially for the decor and drinks. The food was decent, but the overall vibe is what really stands out
I’ve been for their prix fixe lunch and that was such a win — I had the French onion soup (so good) along with another course and everything was solid, comforting, and well done. I’ve also gone back for brunch with my girls, and brunch for me was a straight 10/10 experience. The food was great, the vibes were perfect, and our server was super nice and made the whole thing even better.
I love the bottomless mimosa option, and the views at this place are honestly amazing. It’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for something romantic, cozy, and still a little elevated, especially with those views.
Only downside is parking can be pretty hit or miss, but if I remember correctly, there’s a garage close by which helps. Overall, great food, great drinks, great vibes — definitely a go-to spot for me.
What truly made the evening exceptional was our waiter, Francesco. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind, making us feel welcomed from start to finish. His recommendations and service elevated the entire experience. We can’t wait to come back!
What truly made the night unforgettable was our server, Hugo and the manager Michael. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely warm and welcoming. The level of service was top notch and elevated the entire evening.
Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back! Truly a perfect date night!
Once the rest of our party arrived we were placed in the very capable hands of Steven. Steven guided us through the best of the menu. In between dinner decision time we were also greeted by the wine consœurs who suggested wine options (and the best of the cocktails).
After hors d’oeuvres, the main course, and plenty of desserts and wine, Juan suggested we hit the upstairs bar to really take in the views. It was the perfect way to round out our night. The bartenders were fabulous and so kind. Be aware that the walking path is narrow between the upstairs bar and seats near the balcony so be patient and watch out for people traffic.
Steven also provided us with a lovely book that goes into much more detail about the restaurant (perfect keepsake). Thank you to all of the staff for an epic Thanksgiving night! We will for sure return. I highly recommend making a reservation.
