Super satisfied with the quality and service. Definitely ordering again!
Service was good and attentive, and the menu has a huge variety, so it’s easy to find options whether you prefer classic rolls or more creative combinations. Overall, it’s a solid spot in Saida if you’re looking for clean, fresh sushi and a reliable dining experience.
The first thing that struck me was how immaculately clean the restaurant was. Every surface shined, the tables were spotless, and the overall atmosphere was calm, fresh, and welcoming. You could tell right away that the team here values hygiene and presentation — something that’s essential when serving sushi. The décor was modern yet warm, with a subtle Japanese influence that made the experience feel authentic without being overly themed.
The service at Sushi Bento was outstanding. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel welcome. They were attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and passionate about the food they were serving. Our server took the time to explain different rolls and dishes, and even recommended a few items that turned out to be the highlights of our meal. That personal touch is what sets great restaurants apart from good ones, and Sushi Bento nailed it.
We started by ordering a few familiar sushi rolls from the menu — classics we know and love from Canada — just to compare. Then, based on our server’s recommendations, we added a few specialties that are unique to Sushi Bento.
From the very first bite, I was blown away. The fish was incredibly fresh — you could taste the difference immediately. Each piece had a perfect balance of texture and flavor, with rice that was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The rolls were beautifully presented, with precise cuts and vibrant colors that made the dishes look as good as they tasted.
One standout was a specialty roll recommended by our server that combined fresh salmon, avocado, and a delicate sauce that tied everything together perfectly. Another was a unique fusion roll with a slight crunch and a hint of spice that left us wanting more. Even the simpler nigiri pieces were remarkable — generous cuts of fish, perfectly placed on seasoned rice, proving that the kitchen takes as much pride in the basics as in their signature creations.
What really impressed me was the attention to detail. The wasabi tasted fresh and lively, the pickled ginger was crisp and not overly sweet, and the soy sauce was of high quality. Even the plating was thoughtful, making the meal feel like a special occasion rather than just a casual dinner. The pace of service was perfect too — our dishes arrived in a well-timed sequence, giving us the chance to savor each one without feeling rushed.
By the end of the meal, I realized that Sushi Bento had not only matched the quality of sushi I’ve had in Canada — it had exceeded it. The combination of cleanliness, professional service, and exceptional food made this one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had anywhere in the world.
I walked in curious and a bit skeptical, and walked out genuinely impressed, already thinking about when I could return. Sushi Bento is proof that great sushi isn’t about location — it’s about passion, quality, and care.
If you find yourself in Saida, Lebanon, and you’re craving sushi, do yourself a favor and visit Sushi Bento. Whether you’re a sushi lover looking for the freshest rolls, or someone new to Japanese cuisine who wants to start with the best, this place will leave you saying “wow” just like I did.
Five stars all the way.
But unfortunately, the service didn’t reflect the same quality. We noticed a clear difference in how other tables were treated compared to ours, possibly because we wear hijab. Our table was often ignored, orders took longer, and the waiter’s attitude felt off.
We hope the staff can be more mindful and respectful in the future, so everyone can enjoy the experience equally.
Sushi took some time to arrive but everything tasted good
