I visited this place based on several recommendations and their claim of serving authentic Italian pizza. In my personal opinion, it felt a bit overrated.
The atmosphere is decent, and the servers seem knowledgeable about the menu, but the overall customer service felt very basic more like just doing the job rather than creating a welcoming experience.
As for the food, it was okay, but I wouldn’t describe it as authentic Italian. The pizza had quite a bit of burn on it, and after looking through other reviews, it seems this might be a consistent issue.
We also ordered a glass of wine that tasted overly acidic, almost as if it had been opened and exposed to air for too long. After just one sip, we politely asked if it could be changed, but we were told we would still need to pay for it if we ordered something else.
Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it didn’t live up to the expectations. I don’t see myself returning

Stopped here for lunch and were very happy with everything. We were quickly seated and our ordered was taken almost immediately. The pizza was very good! Our waitress did a great job and checked in on us often. There was plenty of parking and it was on a main road for easy access. Would definitely come back here again.

Pisa Lisa is THE SPOT in Sedona for your Pizza fix.

I literally dream about their pizza all the time and was so happy to drive 4.5 hours just to fill my belly! This is our second time visiting during the Winter/Christmas time, and they never disappoint!

We like to start with their Bruschetta Trio, all three are AMAZING, which also provides a different umami flavor to it. The trio consists of a traditional tomato basil (all-time favorite and just melts in your mouth), olive tapenade with chevre and pine nut, and artichoke truffle parmesan. My wife normally doesn’t eat olives due to the taste; however, for this bruschetta, she devoured it without sharing.

For our main course, we had the margarita and the au sauvage pizza. Great classic and a meat lover’s dish that is not overly salty. These two pizzas are the ones I dream about and what keep me coming back to Sedona to satisfy my cravings.

Lastly, for dessert, after that 4.5-hour drive. We needed a pick-me-up, and the Affogato was amazing with the Vanilla ice cream. The strong espresso poured on top of the ice cream is visually pleasing and tasty. Together, it was a great palate cleanser. I would not suggest this dish at night, especially if you are caffeine-sensitive, as this got me wide awake in the afternoon.

Pisa Lisa never disappoints and will always be our MUST every time we visit Sedona!

There was nothing great about this pizza. There are plenty of other options in the area.

I understand that Sedona is a vacation destination; but charging more for less of everything seems very anti-consumer. The only reason I’m not giving them 2 stars is only because they are located in Sedona.

The pizzas are all 14″ (medium) thin crust pizzas with a moderate amount of toppings. The sauce was pretty much the only part of the pizza that had its only distinct and unique flavor. The cheese and crust were both flavorless and the toppings were generic.

In addition, when one orders a wood fired/ brick oven pizza, one would typically expect to recieve a fluffy, light, and crispy crust. These pizzas have a crust that tasted like it was on the cusp of being raw; and was pretty dense.

All this on top of the wait times being an average of 25 minutes to an hour; the experience and food was not worth the cost. This restaurant provides very average flavors, at an exuberant markup.

Food was absolutely delicious!!!! Burrata was to die for, eggplant pizza and mushroom pizza were perfect. Chewy dough, flavorful, and delicious!! And the cookie butter gelato was a GENEROUS portion! So good after a long day of hiking! Our server was kind and checked in but left us be to chat over our wine and dessert, didn’t feel like we were being rushed!!

Came in on a busy day but got seated within 30 minutes. Nice little spot. A lot of good options for local drinks but they were out of quite a few when we stopped in for supper.

The pizza came out very quickly and was great! A nice classic thin crust wood fired pizza. As two people we split one and it was the perfect portion size. Glad we stopped in.

Visiting from California and my family very much enjoyed this restaurant. The pizza was absolutely delicious! We got a Pepperoni, Margarita, and a Mi Quiero Chorizo Supremo.
All delicious! The pizza cooked in the brick oven really does make all the difference.
The chorizo Pizza was one of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Would definitely come again.

Pisa Lisa – Retro Vibes & Amazing Pizza!

Pisa Lisa is a gem! I tried the Justino pizza and it was absolutely amazing loaded with flavor and baked to perfection. The service was excellent, friendly, and attentive, which really made the experience stand out. The atmosphere is super fun with a retro and cool vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer just to soak it all in. My ice-cold beer paired perfectly with the meal, and I have to mention how clean and well-kept the restaurant was it really added to the overall comfort. Pisa Lisa definitely hits all the marks for great food, service, and atmosphere. When we visit the area again we will definitely be back!

All of us enjoy all of our pizzas so much! The tables set up isn’t the most efficient and inconvenient with the waiters and waitresses getting to close as it comes through. Really great gluten free pizza – tastes so close to a normal crust however being smaller and having a personal pizza for 30 dollars is kinda crazy.
