5 Stars – Exceptional Food, Atmosphere & Service

Twin Oaks is popular for good reason! Stepping inside feels like a warm, nostalgic trip to the inviting restaurants of the past—a charm that is often lost these days. The food was served hot and perfectly prepared. I particularly enjoyed the spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs; the sauce was excellent and not too sweet. The pizza is also a winner, I had the thick crust with crumbled sausage and hot peppers, which was a fantastic combo.

The service was second to none. Our server, Nicole, was friendly, attentive, and truly made our first visit memorable with her happy personality. I highly recommend Twin Oaks!

NOTE: Although the restaurant has kept its warm nostalgic feel, the restrooms are completely modern and new.

PARKING TIP: Due to it’s popularity, finding a parking spot can be tough. Be careful parking directly in front, as backing out onto Route 50 can be tricky. If possible, try to park on the side instead.

I used to get the steak hoagie but decided to switch it up and try the open face steak sandwich – it was absolutely delicious!
Jimmy went out of his way to customize my order. A+

Atmosphere-4 stars- Felt like I went back in time. Very nostalgic. Local Italian restaurant locked in the 60s-70s. Very clean and in great condition. This place has been here since 1957. Only down side was the parking lot- very little room from the main busy road so it can be difficult to back out.

Service- 4 stars- friendly staff. Had a good server who was very attentive.

Food- 4 stars- We had two pizzas (one cheese and the other pepperoni, sausage and mixed peppers) very good pizza and I love that they used crumbled sausage instead of the chunks of sausage. Also had two house salads with house dressing. Dressing is very good. Also got the cheese sticks and a side of meatballs. Loved the sauce and meatballs. Would come back and try one of their pasta dishes next time. Only negative thing was their iced tea (instant) a restaurant of this caliber should have fresh brewed tea.

I met some people from out of town there for dinner. Twin Oaks was their choice, absolutely not mine. I ordered the rigatonni with basil pesto which is served with tomatoes. Why would anyone put fresh tomatoes in a pesto? Out of season tomatoes are the worst choice for this dish. The salad was a bowl of head lettuce with fresh mushy tomatoes. The food is less than desirable.

It was my first time at the iconic Twin Oaks. It did not disappoint. The bathroom was immaculately clean! Even the stainless toilet paper holder and door handle were spotless…

When we arrived, we were told to sit “on either side” wherever we wanted. The left side was full, so we found a “cubby” area that felt private. They play music and because it is carpeted, uses cloth table covers, and has lots of trim details on the walls and room dviders, there isn’tan annoying echo… We did wait for seeeeeeral minutes before our waitress acknowledged us, but she was friendly and on it onc she made it to us…

We tried spaghetti, raviolis, and rigatoni… They each came with a side salad (add the cheese!) and itlian bread with butter. I thought the sauce was perfect, but my sister thought it was “bland.” She added salt and liked it better.

I also posted pics of their drink prices – very reasonable compared to other dine-in restaurants in the area 🙂 I am a fan of cheap drinks!

Favorite pit stop for hoagies, salad, and salad dressing. We get a quart of the dressing to go regularly. Old school vibe, been there forever, consistently good food. The demonic steak is outstanding as are most of the pasta dishes.

Wow!! My family and I have been coming here for years, every time we visit Clarksburg. Beautifully remodeled establishment. And such wonderful service. They work as a team and it shows in the service! Emily Miller did a wonderful job keeping our drinks filled and bringing our food out fresh!

Our salad was amazing. The fresh crispy lettuce complimented with perfectly ripe seasoned tomatoes went so well with the almost drinkable house dressing. (Yes the dressing is that good!) I just wish the large was never ending. Our steak hoagie was a delectable bit of heaven with every bite. The steak was cooked perfectly. Just the right amount of mixed peppers combined with the cheese and a slice of tomato that gave each bite a compliment!

Overall, we once again throughly enjoyed our dining experience! We will be back on our way through again! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Twin Oaks Restaurant!!!

Have been away from Clarksburg for over 42 years. However, I decided to stop in to twin Oaks and have a little Italian dinner. Unfortunately, it is not what I recall. Although, the restaurant had a very good crowd they were understaffed which were keeping the waitresses hopping. However, the food was less to be desired and the pasta was drenched in pasta sauce. The decor appears not to have been updated since 1976 when the last time I was there for my prom. Will not be going back there.
