Ordered Vegetable Thali & vegetable Korai which nearly blew my head off.
Both sets of meals were delicious. However, both were on the very greasy side. Although, this could be a personal preference. Hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

First time trying Lal Quila and I wasn’t disappointed. As a creature of habit I do like a good Chicken Pakora and Achari curry. Ordered both along with a garlic naan and it was delicious. Eyes bigger than my belly though the portions are very, very satisfying!

Just had the most amazing chicken tikka madras cooked by chef Hassan. Been visiting lal qila since mid 80s and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. Hassan and all the staff are very friendly and will try their very best to give you the very best takeaway. Cannot recommend this place enough. 5 stars thank you

Possibly the worst Indian delivery I’ve had in Southport. The onion bhaji was a hard, cold, crumbly, tasteless mess in the shape of a patty. The chicken korma was sweet to point of nearly being a dessert — revolting. The other curry had heat but virtually no seasoning or any kind discernible flavor. The papadams were rubbery and the naan was also rubbery and cold. Terrible.

We ordered a take away for my birthday and 2 of the meals ordered where the exact same dish but with different names on! The lamb dish had what looked like a massive artery in the lamb made us all feel really sick.
Such a shame as we use to use this take away all the time but sadly won’t be going again.

We had another fantastic meal from Lal Qila on Saturday evening – absolutely delicious and excellent value for money. The Mansuri curry was spicier than the last time we had it, but still full of flavour – will definitely choose it again!
