Stopped in for breakfast at Board and Bottle Café and Wine Bar in Ruston, and had a pleasantly quiet experience—literally. We were the only guests at the time, which made for fast counter service and a laid-back atmosphere. The young staff were friendly, though understandably a bit bored given the slow morning.

The café itself is beautifully decorated and impressively clean, with a cozy, upscale vibe that makes you want to linger. We ordered two breakfast bowls and orange juice. While the prices leaned a bit high for a casual breakfast, the food was genuinely good. The side sauce added a flavorful kick—just go easy on it unless you like things bold.

We skipped the coffee since we were headed out for a hike, but it’s on our list for next time. Definitely planning a return visit to explore more of the menu.

I had an excruciatingly horribly tough day reading over my mothers murder case file at the local court house. I needed a serene place to decompress and have a relaxing glass of wine. This was the most perfect spot. The ambiance is top tier. The wine is top tier. The SERVICE IS TOP TOP TIER!! I was met with amazing energy from the owner Jane. She let me sample 3 wines to help decide which bottle I wanted to assist in calming my nerves. The Ant Moore is highly recommended!!! The crisp robust taste is surely to satisfy any pallet immediately! She also offered some olives and nuts to pair with my bottle. They taste divine!! I was instantly comforted in my time of need. This place feels homey and calm. The much needed energy I was looking for. I would rate this place 10 stars if I could! Please give her place a visit. It will be worth it, I promise. ✨️

Thanks again Jane, you’re hospitality is appreciated more than words can express. Bless you.

Cozy locally owned coffee shop with pastries and sandwiches. I guess it’s a wine bar at night, but I don’t kniw. To me, it’s my goto for a good cup of coffee and nice chat with friends.

I love Board and Bottle! I stop by every time I visit Ruston. I’m usually in for breakfast and coffee. They really have the best, freshest coffee and great options for breakfast. Plus the staff are just so friendly and helpful.

I needed just a quick bite tonight so my brother and I both got the cucumber salmon cups. They were so good! Such a nice, light meal full of complimentary flavors. I didn’t have time for a cocktail tonight, but they had some intriguing options. I’ll definitely make it a point to stop by for dinner again!

Relaxed vibe, very nice selection of food, wine, and drinks. Highly recommend. Service is great but they run a little lean. They put a lot of effort in making their events to be memorable! (wine tasting esp.)

If you want to spend too much money on small amounts of mediocre food, then this is your place. The chef did not know how to sub flatbread for a bagel to make a sandwich. I offered to explain it, but they weren’t interested. The drinks were OK. The trivia night was fun. Overall, a poor value for the cost.

Very nice place, relaxed atmosphere, wonderful lighting. Went for a coffee in the morning and it was absolutely delicious so I decided to go back in the evening to try the bar and again the whole atmosphere was wonderful but that wasn’t an old fashioned. The guy just put whiskey in a glass with ice, cherry, and then an orange slice on the rim. I paid for it so I drank it but couldn’t really enjoy it.

The all time best wine and dine spot in Ruston. Their teas are almost as excellent as their friendly service. They support local musicians and artists and host many events. I highly recommend the white wine flight and fruit and cheese board!

Stopped in to get some coffee early morning of the LA Peach Fest. Very cool place! Warm & inviting and not pretentious. Loved the atmosphere! Most importantly our drinks were great! I got their daily special, an iced Peach Pie Latte. I was so good that later in the afternoon we stopped again and I got another one. This place is a must try if you’re in Ruston.
