My waiter was super rude. So rude I didn’t tip him. He wouldn’t let me try the wine I wanted a glass of and they refused to leave salad because they said they were out but they gave it to two people after me. They wanted to close they should have told me they were closed I would have gone elsewhere . They did finally bring out my salad after I pointed out the two people have their salad when they said they were out. Meat was super tough. Nice atmosphere crappy service.

El Arriero is hands down the best steakhouse in Bolivia, and it’s been consistently the best for nearly three decades.

The staff are professional, friendly, and quick. Service is always on point.

The food is proper Bolivian parrillada. Simple, done right. The arroz con queso and the salad are incredible… probably the best you’ll ever have (make sure to add avocado to the salad).

The meat is where El Arriero really stands out. The picanha cuts like butter: juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked. They have the best chorizos and morcillas in Bolivia, and the Bife de Chorizo and Cuadril are always soft, juicy, and tasty. The parrillero clearly knows what he’s doing….After more than 10 visits, they’ve always cooked the meat perfectly.

The only area of opportunity for El Arriero is the space. The restaurant feels a bit old, small, and outdated for the number of people it attracts. That said, the food and consistency more than make up for it.

Such a great spot. Yes a bit touristy but it’s for a reason. The service is so great. Lots of staff that are constantly watching and making sure all the tables are cleared and orders are ready to be taken. Perfect

It’s one of the good restaurant in the city. It’s a Bolivian steak restaurant and also they have other options in the menu. Definitely try Bolivian steaks you’ll enjoy it. It’s tasty!! Place has big enough inside and outside sitting area and mostly you’ll find a table even walk in. Staff is warm and helpful. Prices are reasonable for Bolivian market but it’s really cheap if you consider what you get on your plate. Go for it!

Good food and great service. They took their time to prepare the fish I ordered but it was all worth it!!! The price tag is high compared with other restaurants but you get what you paid for. The portion size was big.

If you are familiar with some fsmous Santa Cruz’s Steakhouses you may come to this one and expect the same quality and premium cuts.

The restaurant and atmosphere is pretty similar to the other restaurants around. While the menu is a bit different, you will still find premium cuts and chops.

I am giving them 3 stars, as its really difficult to get them make the steak cooking point propperly, it is a real oddysey to get a real “Rare” or “Blue” steak (talk about being at the city’s best steakhouse)…

Other than that, their service is good and the overall experience is enjoyable.

I like the food here and it is really large portion. It is a bit pricy but it is worth the money.

The only thing I did not like is they added 20 for tips when they hand you the total amount. I tipped again without realizing that the tips have been added. I don’t know if Santa Cruz has this US tipping culture, but certainly not the rest of Bolivia.

The meat is good as always and cooked to point. Sadly they have decided to add the tip to the bill, so service has gone down. There was no server assigned to our table so they would not know if we had seen menus, we has to ask twice; ordered… has to ask a guy cleanning a table near by; and had to go and pay in the teller as they would never bring the bill even though we asked twice. Used to love this place not sure if I will go for a while as the experience was worse than expected.

I never had such a good steak! Ordered a plank with different cuts to share. Liked Bolivian beef better than Argentinian. Good attentive service.
