Buoy 18 — Where Nostalgia, Mini Golf, and Mild Rage Collide ⛳
Buoy 18’s mini golf course might be held together by hope and humidity, but it’s still one of my favorite date spots with the wife. The turf’s worn, the putts are questionable, and the ponds will make you rage-quit like a 12-year-old getting sniped in Call of Duty. But somehow, it’s all part of the charm.
The cove area? Perfect for a little mid-round make-out session — romantic, until you realize the next group’s waiting on hole seven.
The ice cream side’s solid, serving all Hershey’s flavors, though my decade-long hunt for Raspberry Road Runner remains tragically unsatisfied. Bonus points for the arcade that feels straight out of 2002 — you half expect to win a sticky hand toy and hear Linkin Park playing faintly in the distance.
4/5 stars. Worn-down fun with just enough chaos and nostalgia to keep us coming back.

Staff was great, course was fine. 4 stars mainly cause of the small, crowded feel of the course; that being said it’s a very well put together course, with some challenging greens; the waterfall by the end ate my daughter’s ball(oops). The arcade was fun(and free with mini golf purchase), foosball, air hockey, ping pong, pacman, racing games, guitar hero, etc.
We come here for ice cream a few times every summer when we spend the day by the river. Definitely recommend!!

I came across Buoy Miniature Golf and Ice Cream Place after doing a Google search. We drove an hr just to check it out. I was very impressed with the putt putt course and how well it was kept up. The ice cream shop was very nice with alot of choices to choose from. The employees were very friendly also. My family and I also enjoyed the fact it was located right on the water. What a beautiful sight to watch the boats come in while enjoying your ice cream or Bubble Tea. I would highly recommend this place.

WOW! My boyfriend and I were up in Bay City for our anniversary and we were looking for something fun to do.. $7 per person for the whole day, mini golf AND fun old school arcade games. Very fun time, would definitely recommend.

The Goods:
An amazing Miniature Golf course! Lots of fun challenging paths! Loved the water and waterfall and the chances of getting the ball in the water! Lots of fun!
The Bad:
The ice cream is really good there! However, they serve deep fried food there and one of the options is Chicken Tenders. I ordered chicken tenders. I usually tear the chicken tenders apart to dip it in BBQ sauce. The chicken was Very Raw!!
The deep fried food was undercooked, including the fries which were a bit over salted too. The fries were decent though even though they were undercooked.
Advice for the Business:
I went during the Bay City Fireworks & Festival on July 3rd, 2021. Maybe this was part of the issue for the undercooked food because of the busyness of that day. I have worked in concessions & Food services before. It would be best if this place had “Pre-Cooked Food” and also a “Hot Box” to keep food in based on a time frame. That would increase business and better products for their consumers.
Overall, it was a decent experience other than the raw chicken. I probably would not order the chicken if I did come back again. But I will definitely come back for another game of Miniature Golf and Ice Cream! Good little place to hang out!

This is a pretty mini-golf course! They have beautiful flowers and butterflies. The course is pretty basic, no windmills or tricky tunnels, but it is very enjoyable and extremely well maintained. The man working at the counter was really nice and gave us lots of information about the course. The only thing I did not care for was the loud pop music on the speakers around the course.

My son and I love going here! The arcade room is awesome, especially the pinball. Super fun mini golf course and handy nets accessible for water hazards. The watermelon sherbet milkshake that Mya made for me was incredible! Absolutely recommend Buoy 18 for a fun day in Bay City

Stopped here as we were driving through town. Probably the most well-tended putt putt we’ve ever played on. The gardens are amazing and we saw as many monarch butterflies as we’ve ever seen outside of a butterfly garden
