This place is a true hidden gem in scranton! I’ve been going here for a long long time whenever im working in the area. It’s a small hole in the wall with great food and always a friendly smile behind the counter . Usually in and out fairly quick no matter what you order,during lunch they get a little busy but you know your going to get something good to eat. This is their Italian hoagie, they kinda make them upside down or something but it’s delicious. I get my dressing on the side because I don’t like soggy buns.

A polite suggestion to change your hours to 8:00 pm instead of 9:00 pm, I called at 8:15 pm, which I didn’t personally think was too late at all to make an pickup order but was answered with “We’re done for the night.” Then being hung up on. I get it but man is there other ways to go about this that doesn’t come off rude and confusing. I was going to be a first time customer, live in the neighbourhood and was hoping to find a new affordable place to become a regular at but I can’t say I will try again after this.

I’ve been going to deejays since I’ve been a kid ! Their mild wings are delish , and actually come with blue cheese and celery which is a plus . I will say I really do like their pizza too ! The guy working is always so nice and always helps everyone get out of the building when they buy a lot.

I am the last person to leave a bad review if a mistake has been made, but this was downright ignorance !!! my dear friend and neighbor places an order a week in advance & confirmed it prior to the day of delivery & it NEVER SHOWED UP!!! They NEVER answered their phone when she called to check on it & hours later when they decided to pick up the phone … get this …. THE OWNER STATES HE GOT SLAMMED WITH ORDERS & just ignored the LARGE ORDER $$$ that was placed prior to any others !!!
The day was VERY DIFFICULT to begin with … our friend was attempting to celebrate her deceased husbands birthday & what would have been their 34th wedding anniversary & the total lack of respect for her by the owner made a tough day so much with worse !!! Shame on him ….
He should be so ashamed & NEEDS TO REACH OUT WITH A HEARTFELT APOLOGY!!! Not a pathetic … sorry … got slammed !!!

I have been getting wings from Dee Jays’ for years now. They are truly at the top in quality & consistency in the area.
Tonight I went online to see what other options there were in addition to my usual order. To my surprise I saw these negative reviews. I just can’t imagine why. In all the years I have ordered from here, whether eating in or ordering it to go, the customer service & the food have always been beyond outstanding!
A few weeks ago, without realizing, I showed up 5 minutes before they were closing & they still provided outstanding service & food…..our wings were incredibly delicious & the service didn’t miss a beat.
I’m guessing maybe its the competitors writing these negative reviews because in the many years I have been a customer, never ever once did I have bad experience. Not once. Thank You Dee Jay’s for the consistency in your service & your outstanding food.

I love their food but these people seriously need an attitude change, no matter what day, year, month it is they always have a NASTY attitude in person/over the phone and it’s not just one person it’s all of them as if you are wrong for ordering or calling. Seriously grow up and don’t work food service if you are too miserable to be kind.

After doing so many of these bad reviews lately I’m so glad that deejays is still so affordable and soooo good. Idk why I ever order from anywhere else.
