I came at 8:30pm, it says open until 10pm but was closed at only 8:30. I love Taco John’s but seriously? There is no notice for closing early neither on Google maps nor at the taco John’s itself. I’m honestly very disappointed because I grew up eating Taco John’s but moved to a place where there aren’t any Taco John’s and this one one of my few chances to eat here again but it was ruined due to poorly informed early closure.

Taco John’s has been deteriorating terribly from where I’m from in Southern Minnesota.
Took a chance on this one and I’m glad we did.
This place tastes the way I remember Taco John’s tasting when I was a kid.
The food is presented professionally, not all sloppy like most and the food actually tastes good!! The whole restaurant, inside and out, is clean and tidy which is another thing you don’t find much of. The employees were happy to assist and worked efficiently.
This is the way a fast food restaurant should be ran. The people here still have pride, at least it seems.
If you’re looking for a fast option that won’t make you feel like puking, this is it!

I’ve been the only customer and the wait was to long both in the store and in the drive though. The drive through speaker is to quiet as well. I had to pester them to get a response and then they changed people before I could place my order. The food is super salty and why are burritos made in sideways layers? Who wants a mouth full of only one ingredient? Not me for sure. The tacos are good but not enough cheese on them, I couldn’t taste it at all. The new management is making improvements but I’m still not satisfied. I’ll keep going there as Charles City has nothing else like it for fast food but I won’t fully commit to being a regular. This town is full of people who are regular customers so this location could greatly benefit from meeting customers basic needs. Faster service, take salt out of food and fix the drive through speaker so orders are clear to the staff.

Everytime I came here. It a whole new staff. Today they complete messed my order up. I order a beef Taco salad with no shell they made it in a shell then the remade it and made it chicken. How hard is it? I have come here on other occasions with the same service and was given a spoon for my salad. Seriously they need some real management changes here!

Food was fresh, tasted very good and quantity was ideal however our meal had a couple errors. I didn’t make a fuss and request a new burrito or taco instead choosing to take off the stuff that I didn’t want. In all fairness we had 7 different entrees, 5 of them had modifications.

I’m always unpleasantly surprised by the subpar customer service experience every time I come here. It’s a shame, because we love Taco John’s. However, this location is constantly slow, frequently rude, and overall unpleasant.
Seriously, I know there was a big order in front of us, but there was one family and we waited in line and for our food for over 20 minutes. Unacceptable.
Someone from Corporate should probably check in here because we should be easy customers to please but any loyalty we’ve had to the brand has been destroyed by the general incompetence of this store.

Was unhappy with this Taco Johns. The cashier was nice. But our order was bad. The tacos had a sauce on it. Most of the time they come dry or no sauce. The tacos were not hot. The tots where not done. On the second order instead of tots we get beans. It was a very small amount. Disappointed but go back to our town store.

Stopped and went inside to get some tacos. Gal behind the taco counter saw me three or four times. The guy at the drive through window was busy doing something. I waited 4-5 minutes and left without ordering. I went up the road the DQ and they did a great job and wanted my money.

Lived up to it’s expectations. Potatoes Ole were so tasty my GF didn’t even complain that they forgot the ketchup. The service was consistent the 4 times I went here during my overnight stay in Iowa so keep it up.
