For all the employees that were in the restaurant…I would have expected a cleaner dining area. I think that the employees spend way too much time talking to each other and playing around instead of catering to their customers. My waitress was new… but the bare minimum you should check on your customers. Every time I needed something I would have to stop whatever employee passed my table. The grits were cold and the waffles were burnt! This location sucks… The food and the employees suck too!!! I won’t be back!

Despite having to wait 1/2 hour outdoors to be seated, it was well worth the wait. January 10, 2026 was my family’s second time visiting this restaurant as part of a staycation in downtown Atlanta. This restaurant exhibited consistency with the service, cleanliness, and quality & taste of the food.

There was a small line, but it was expected since it was on a Sunday. Overall Waffle House always has some of the best comfort food. The waitress attending us was so funny and nice.

First off, the employees were incredibly rude, not only to us but to other waiting customers.
The didning room was closed and so they were only accepting to go orders, i asked for the zip code because im not from here and was told to turn around and read the street sign. I should have left then and there. I placed a online order and paid, being given a 15 minutr wait time. We waited ONE HOUR HUDDLED UNDER THE CANOPY BECAUSE IT WAS POURING. Asked twice to see when the food would be ready, then got nothing but attitude like were being bothersome. Also witnessed them being rude to a poor doordash driver! Once we did get our food we joked it better be the best waffle house weve ever had, and it was actually the WORST. Burnt hard bread, cold hashbrowns that werent fully cooked. Unacceptable.

After getting off the Tea Around Town bus tour with my seven-year-old daughter, we stopped at Waffle House because she urgently needed to use the restroom. Although a sign indicated the bathroom was for paying customers only, I politely asked an employee at the register if she could use it. He was kind and understanding and allowed her to go.

While we were waiting, another employee loudly asked for the bathroom keys and began yelling, “I’m going to lock them. I’m going to lock them. I’m tired of people coming in here using the bathroom.” His voice carried across the restaurant. When he saw that several people, not just my daughter and I were waiting, he reacted with visible frustration, huffing and expressing irritation before going to the counter and continuing to complain.

Because the restaurant was crowded and I was focused on my child, I could not hear every word he said. He was speaking from a distance and began walking away as he talked. However, I heard him mention the Tea Around Town bus and the bathroom, and when people around us began looking in our direction, it became clear he was talking about us. The situation felt public, uncomfortable, and embarrassing. I had asked permission respectfully and was simply trying to help my child in an urgent moment.

Once my daughter finished, I intended to address the employee directly about his comments. However, I did not see him when we came out of the restroom. Because of that, I thanked the employee who had helped us and asked him to relay a message to his coworker that he should be more courteous and considerate toward people. I also explained that we came inside because the restroom on the bus was unsanitary, and my child needed a clean, safe place to go.

As a parent, being publicly criticized for helping my child in a basic human situation felt unnecessary and upsetting. I appreciated the kindness of the employee who showed compassion, but the other worker’s behavior left a very negative impression. No parent should feel shamed in that way.

I chose to visit this spot based on strong recommendations for the best breakfast in the Atlanta area, and it did not disappoint. The sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit was delicious. I quickly found a seat at the bar, which was a plus. The coffee topped with whipped cream and sugar was good, too. Overall, I left feeling satisfied and ready to take on the day.

First time in ATL and first time at Waffle House. Was greeted as soon as I walked in. Was able to sit where I wanted and did. Waitress came up a couple minutes after and took my order. Food showed up not long after and was delish! The waffles were awesome. They were soft as pancakes if that makes sense, lol. The waitress checked on me just enough and was great! Very nice atmosphere even with them being busy. I liked how the ‘kitchen’ is basically right there in the open. All I can say is that I was full when I left. Will visit again the next time I’m in Atlanta.

genuinely some of the WORST service i’ve ever had. lady at the front was so rude while taking my order and then proceeded to passive aggressively force me to give her a tip. when i got my order i asked to add a sweet tea and she hit me with some attitude. honestly food wasn’t that bad, it wasn’t great but definitely not bad at all. could be a great place if they didn’t have such a horrible attitude

We were greeted by Ms.Sunny. She got us a couple seats ready and Ms.Keysha took care of us. They were perfect! It was crazy busy, but the men and women cooking were top notch, fast and efficient. I’d never been in one of the larger Waffle Houses. It was excellent!
