Came here for the first time just after 1 and upon walking in a waitress asked if it was for 2 people me and my partner said yes and we’re told to find a place to sit, this was a good start. We found a table and I noticed the wall had chips in the paint probably from moving the tables over time, a repaint would liven up the place. The waitress was very nice so I have no complaints here. When we got our food I got a breakfast dish and everything but the sausages were luke warm (kitchen terms for not quite cold but not warm either) as the sausages were piping hot, some time management and this meal would have been perfect. Needless to say a very nice place good food just timing is missing along with a paint job. Would recommend and would come back even so.

What a great place! The owners are so nice, the servers are super friendly, and everything we ordered was delicious: the kids pizza, club sandwich with fries (it’s those crispy coated fries ) and the beef vindaloo and everything was 10/10! I’m from Northern Ontario and am always disappointed with restaurants in Ottawa but this place was great where can you get great pizza, a really good club with grilled chicken and authentic delicious Indian food all in one place? Richmond is lucky to have the Blue Diamond! Not to be missed.

Went to blue diamond bar and grill for the first time. Experience was super duper. From the warm greeting from server Maaika and to a extremely generous quantity of pino Grigio to equally generous portion of tandoori chicken nachos and pakoras followed by delicious daal tadka and perfectly spiced and fragrant chicken tikka masala along with fresh and hot assorted breads and naan , I mean totally and truly wonderful dining experience. Delicious food and friendly staff will certainly bring us back. It is indeed appropriately named as blue diamond. A real gem of a place with gem of staff who are friendly, competent and willing to go extra mile to accommodate customers’ requests. Simply put top notch.

I didn’t even look at the menu. I walked in and asked for the smoked meat sandwich and soup special. I didn’t even know what the soup was. I wasn’t disappointed. The soup was a creamy potato with back bits. And the sandwich was in excellently toasted light rye bread.
Great job in service also, even though they we short staffed.
I think next time I’ll read the menu and see what other meals they have. I have a feeling I won’t be disappointed.

I had a “food experience” here – 10/10 we will be back. We had been hiking in the area and came here for lunch after reading reviews of their Indian food, and this place did NOT disappoint. I have eaten more pakora than I should admit to, and these are some of the best I have ever had. The lamb vindaloo was a savoury sensation, made fresh with whole spices, could have been hotter but I have no doubt I can ask for that next time! We also had the tandoori chicken burger which was a unique crossover menu item – one of several choices. I forgot to mention the authentic handmade naan bread -perfection! Most of the other people dining in were having breakfast items which looked delicious and generously portioned. I’m going to need to eat my way through their Indian food before I try breakfast myself though!

A gem in suburbs of ottawa, excellent “home made” indian food, loved the saag paneer and chicken Tikka masala. Naans were excellent. Price is medium but worth the drive to Richmond. Also great atmosphere to watch service was excellent. If consistent on second visit will likely bump to 5 stars

What an astounding little gem this bar & grill is, out in Richmond of all places! From the moment we walked in the smell of the spices already had me hooked. As far as delicious and authentic Indian fare goes, Blue Diamond is easily one of THE best I’ve experienced in Ottawa. It’s well worth going out of your way for, even if you don’t live in the area. I highly recommend the cauliflower pakora in particular, but I’m already so excited to go back and try the onion bhaji and shahi paneer next!

I went here for the first time years ago for Valentines Day. The owners were beyond kind, not to mention the Indian food was delicious. We chatted and really got to know the son who worked so hard for his family. I’m sad to see that it closed in Ottawa. I’m glad you kept the OG one though. Thank you for being so caring and giving.

Food was good. The manager up front was extremely rude. Tried to order more food during our visit and food didn’t arrive for another 40 -50 minutes. Decided to leave instead of waiting longer and manager started to yell at us about leaving saying we shouldn’t have ordered more food in the middle of our meal. Never heard a restaurant saying that they want all food ordered upfront…Ended up paying for the extra food without actually taking it home… Wouldn’t want to owe a guy like him anything. Absolutely rude service by him.

Ordered the Caesar Salad and the lasagna. Both were good. Not much interaction from the server. He seemed a little distant. Atmosphere didn’t feel welcoming.
