A lovely place for vegetarians!

The ambience is calm and pleasant, perfect for enjoying a relaxed meal. The staff is very welcoming and polite, which really makes you feel comfortable.

It’s a pure vegetarian restaurant, and we tried both the North Indian and South Indian veg thalis. Both were tasty, well-balanced, and satisfying. We also ordered dosa and ghee karam idly, and everything was fresh and full of flavor.

Overall, we had a great experience here. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys good vegetarian food.

We tried Suprabhat on our way back from Austin for Lunch as it had such good reviews and it closer to where we stayed in Austin. We ordered their Pani Puri, Kids Plain Dosa, Masala Dosa and North Indian Thali, There was an elderly person who appears to own the shop and he spoke in Tamil, and claimed to be from Chennai. He was the one who was at Cash Counter as well, though we are not sure if he was the one who owns it. He recommended us to try their Thalis, and we tried their North Indian Thali, which had an option of a Puri vs Chappathi. Though there were 2 Chappathis, The Chappathi’s were rubbery and appeared to be the ready made variety, heated and given to us. The accompaniments given were Channa Masala, Veg Kuruma, Dal, Paneer Gravy, Yogurt, Beet Root Fry, Masala Vadai etc., and Butter Milk dried Chilli and Pickles. First, for a North Indian Thali, there was no salad cucumber or onion, secondly, they provided Pinapple Kesari as the sweet. The Paneer Gravy was neither Kadai Paneer nor Paneer butter masala. The channa masala tasted smoked and over cooked, Dal was bland and tasteless. Only the Veg Kuruma was eatable. Have never had Pinapple Kesari provided as a Dessert with North Indian Thali as well before, and the Kesari was more on the sides of a sweetened Pongal made out of Suji. Coming to Dosas, The Potato Masala in Masala Dosai was bitter, though it had fresh butter. The peanut chutney, ginger chutney and cilantro chutney were below average and were not authentic. The Sambar tasted sour and tangy with the flavor of Tamarind standing out over everything else. The Pani Puri was average variety, the only good thing was it was less spicy. Then we finished with Mango Lassi, which was drinkable. Overall, for the 3 of us who went seeing an All Vegeterian Fare and a near 5 Star Reviews, This place was a big let down

We were traveling from Houston to Austin and decided to stop at Suprabhat on the way and I’m really glad we did. I had the South Indian meals, and it was very good. The food was flavorful, authentic, and felt comforting, just like home-style cooking.
It was a perfect stop during our trip, and I genuinely loved the meal. Definitely a great place to visit if you’re craving good South Indian food in Austin.

I had to drive nearly half an hour to get to Suprabhat Indian Restaurant, but it was absolutely worth the trip. This place is a fully vegetarian gem, and they truly deliver on authentic South Indian flavors.

We ordered the Suprabhat Thali along with a Mysore Masala Dosa, and both were excellent. The dosa was crisp, perfectly spiced, and the chutney it came with was outstanding- probably one of the best I’ve had in a long time.

A nice surprise was that the thali comes with an option to select Poori instead of Chappathi which was a welcome change and paired well with the rest of the dishes. To top it off, I tried both filter coffee and masala tea, and they were spot on—rich, flavorful, and the perfect end to the meal.

If you’re looking for high-quality vegetarian South Indian food, Suprabhat is definitely worth the drive.

Delectable food of the South Indian cuisine served on traditional banana leaves & a nice variety of sides/curries arranged around the thali. I also liked the ceiling fixtures.

We, a family of three, spent around $50 at this place. The coffee was a bit bitter, and the meals were okay, but could have been better. The dosa and idly were good, but the chutney was cold and had come from the fridge. The music was slow and the vibe was village-like.

This small Indian restaurant is really good. It’s one of my top Indian restaurants around Austin and they also have a case full of desserts which are fantastic if you’ve never had Indian desserts, you should try some. The menu is huge and has no photos so you sort of have to know what you’re ordering or ask. They have a lot of things here that I don’t typically see on the menu of Indian restaurants and so far, everything has been great.

Suprabhat has been one of our top picks for tasty Indian vegetarian food for over a decade now! They have also catered for our family on several occasions for large groups and for big events and we have been very happy with them. They have worked with us to make all customizations requested and have delivered on multiple occasions as well. It has been a breeze to work with them and we have recommended them to multiple folks for event catering. Definitely our pick for a weekday evening pickup or an event catering order!

I came here for dinner with my family friends, sat in the hut area the food was SOSO goodd!! Honestly and the staff was super nice too 🙂 but I only had a teensy problem which is I ordered the non alcoholic pina colada which I had a lot of expectations for which is bad on my part but the taste itself was good not sure if I can rlly rate it since it was my first, but I liked it the presentation was my problem, i expected yellow but it was white in color, a fancy glass and decor but it was a normal drinking water one but taste is what matters right?
