The sweet potatoes fried are crispy, but somehow they melt in my mouth. I ordered the “Big Fella” fried oyster mushroom. So satisfying, spicy, tangy, chewy and crunchy. This is a tiny place with two tables, but they serve up a big taste. Mostly take out customers.

I got the “Soulful Burger” that had jerk sauce and sweet plaintains. *Chef Kiss* so delicious. The heat was just right! My niece a strawberry shake that she enjoyed, and our fries and sweet potato fries were crispy and just right.
Overall awesome experience! Congrats to the owner for the grand opening.

First came across this place at the Big E last year, and the line was a mile long. After getting my order, I understood why. Food is full of flavor and hot. Best of all, they offer gluten-free options, and even better, they are vegan. So when I found myself in the area, I quickly stopped by. Got the soulful burger, classic burger, grilled chicken salad, 2 strawberry shakes, and sweet potato fries. The food was delicious as always. I am looking forward to returning and bringing others who doubt that vegan food can taste good.

favorite items (although all of it was beyond incredible & full of flavor): the jerk & plaintain soul burger was insanely good…. the chili cheese fries (& their cheese on the fries YES LORD!!!!!!) all the things ive tried on the menu: soul burger, big burger (with bacon), cheese dog, chicken sandwich (which was new and when asked if they could make it with buffalo sauce too they said say less ) and of course sweet potato fries. everything from the atmosphere, customer service & the food was incredible. 100/10 will go back… its my new favorite spot!!!!!

My fiancé and I met with his aunt for dinner at Soulfully Vegan on a Friday night. His aunt has been vegan for years and was curious to try their food after seeing them at the Big E last year. The dining area was small, but we were glad that they had outdoor seating that could accommodate the three of us sitting together. This was some of the only vegan food I’ve ever tried where I know if it was a blind taste test, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between what I was eating versus if it were non-vegan, maybe with the exception of the burgers just because of the texture. The flavors were there though, and we really liked the soul food influence on the menu. Quality products are being used here for sure. It was a delight speaking with the owner, and I’m so glad we checked them out. There’s a reason why this place is being talked about as one of the most popular vegan restaurants in CT!

It’s natural to be curious about the most unique menu item, which for me was their Spicy PB&J “Burger” and it didn’t disappoint! We also got the Big Boy Burger and another winner – Big Dog (hotdog) all of this covered in vegan bacon, cheese, jalapeños and amazing flavor! Omgosh and don’t forget the fries! The sweet potato fries were some of the best I’ve had in a long time and I upgraded to their oat milk based cheese fries!! Award winner right there! thank you for having us and wishing you all the best!

The food was awesome. As a huge PB&J fan, I had to try the Spicy PB&J burger, and it did not disappoint! Also got the chili cheese fries which were very good. Sadly the milkshake machine was broken – I was looking forward to trying one.
Regardless, this would be a 5-star review if it weren’t for the customer service. When I went to the counter to place my order, the girl didn’t even greet me or ask what I would like to order. She just awkwardly looked at me with a straight face until I started ordering. Then the whole time I was there waiting for my food and then dining in, she and the other girl were complaining about more orders coming in, making fun of customers who had called to place an order over the phone after hanging up, and saying they just wanted to go home. One of the employees was definitely more polite than the other, but it’s a shame that the customer service isn’t better since the food was so good. The manager may want to address this to improve the customer experience at the restaurant.
