Colterra hosted our wedding reception and it was beautiful; the food was incredible. Colterra’ s hosts were accomodating and professional, even after an additional guest showed up. They even prepared a delicious cake for us (pictured).

Amazing food and drinks. Had the 4 course chef’s choice dinner with wine pairings and everything was perfect. Each course was a surprise and I had so much fun tasting new things from my plate and my boyfriend’s. The wines paired perfectly and I was genuinely thrilled with my choice. Our waitress was pleasant and enthusiastic, as excited by our enjoyment as we were. Chad, the sommelier, made great choices for me and was incredibly knowledgeable. An amazing experience all around.

We had a fantastic dinner for New Year’s Eve. We were seated in the gables and loved the cozy atmosphere. Our waiter Josh, was helpful in recommendations and wine pairings. The set menu had plenty of delicious choices. Everyone enjoyed each delicious course. We will be back 🙂

I’ve seriously never eaten anything that was less than amazing at this restaurant! It’s well worth the drive for us from Denver. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and the food is fresh, innovative and delicious! Even the bartender’s unique mocktails are amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice date night.

I had read so many great reviews and had such high hopes for a great date night out out. The host spilled my husbands $12 cocktail all over the table without even offering to replace the drink. The waitress offered a larger portion of food to my husband without mentioning she would charge him double for the meal. I would have been happy to spend the money for a great dinner, but the food was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the cost.

Pros: nice environment outside, just gorgeous.
Cons: there a quite a few, the staff is nice but not too flexible, almost like they have to please the owners more than the customers. The food is very basic, the only thing that stood out is their bread, which is quite good. Perhaps this has to deal with their clientele, which is older, very old. The prices are high for a restaurant that doesn’t serve that great of food, particularly the drinks, which are basic as well.

Food was great, they were extremely accommodative in regard to my plethora of food allergies. We sat out on the patio as the sun set it was a beautiful setting for a classy meal. The risotto changes daily, ours was lamb and it was to die for. Will be back for sure.

Food is on the higher end in terms of price, but it’s so delicious. Wait staff was friendly and very helpful. Inside was cozy and comfortable, and not too loud. They also have an outdoor patio when it’s nice outside. I would highly recommend this place for a fancy night out.

The risotto was below average – server stated that is (risotto) what we are known for. The halibut was overcooked and the vegetables were slopped on the plate. Service was below average as well. Truly disappointed after over a$200.00 bill for two of us. Think twice before you dine here. On a positive note, I heard their lunch is excellent. Requires less talent from the chef.

Having grown up in Boulder County, this is the go to place to celebrate special events. The food is excellent. Small plates and other entrees are excellent with local sourcing of ingredients. Wine list is extensive and the staff have been the best. Neat location in old town Niwot.
