If you have never been to Downtown Fort Myers, you are missing out. There are a lot of great shops and restaurants to check out. My family and Ihad the chance to visit The Hideaway. We love being able to go to different restaurants/bars that support live music nights. Great spot. Good food. Friendly service. Had a blast talking to the manager Rick. He enjoys supporting our community.

The inside is a bit smaller, but there’s some seating outside which makes it really enjoyable. There isn’t a server that comes out to the patio, but ordering at the bar and bringing your drinks or food outside is easy and totally works.
The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and they also have live music (not sure which nights) plus other fun specials throughout the week.
We spent New Year’s Eve here and it was packed with live music!
A great place to hang out, relax, and enjoy the vibe — definitely a spot I’d come back to.

The bartender was definitely in the weeds but kept up considering… Unfortunately she made a mistake on my drink order during an impressionable date and refused to make it right.
I understand that she was under a lot of pressure being the only bartender on a busy night but she may consider being more accommodating and a bit more friendly. Had the vodka and cranberry with a splash of pineapple been what I ordered three times prior in the evening, I would have been very content. But to have attitude and basically tell me tough luck was very rude ! Something for her to keep in mind… The customer is always right, especially when they are so ! It’s all about repeating business and keeping your customers happy !
Because of such, I’ll never spend my money there again.

I was downtown looking at the antique car show and turned on to Dean Street to escape the noise and sun. Luckily I walked in to the Hideaway. It’s clean and cozy, with a friendly, mixed crowd of locals and tourists. The comfort food is delicious! I had the Reuben, with homemade cole slaw. They serve food until 5 on weekends and 3 during the week. Sidewalk tables are shaded in afternoon. Check it out and you wont be sorry. Lots of laughter and good conversation.

Great low key place in downtown. Great prices on alcohol and food for being in a downtown setting. Relaxing atmosphere, bartenders are personable, Rick the manager is hands on and takes suggestions from customers. I definitely recommend the chicken Parmesan sub, Italian sub, burgers, and don’t miss the taco Tuesday deal. Definitely recommend.

Lived in the area for 8 years and never knew the Hideaway existed! Stopped there for a beer and had to stay for three because the bartender Chelsea made me feel like I was a regular. She was very polite, and very courteous and made me feel like she’s known me for years. I will definitely come back for sure cause the atmosphere was amazing and I love being treated like I belong. And the had a hotdog bar that was phenomenal! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Stopped in for one beer, first time there and the bartender Chelsey was awesome even though there was a woman at the end of the bar being rude to her. Very professional bartender and she’s definitely easy on the eyes! Will be back later this week!
