The Pizza Garage is a takeout pizzeria focusing on offering a variety of styles of pizza. Owner Luis Perez spent his early childhood eating pizza from slice shops in New York City and after a trip to Italy, he wanted to create a pizza that offered the best of his own experiences. The Pizza Garage hopes to offer others a similar nostalgic pizza experience!

We got the buy 2 get one Detroit style pizza. The trio was my favorite! My least favorite was the white top. I almost added shallots and truffle to it, but I went plain just to taste it. I should’ve added the toppings.

Right from the start of placing an order over the phone, the staff member was fantastic!! Super friendly and informative. When I went into the pizza shop I was greeted so nicely, and had a discussion with two staff members at the counter as if I’ve know them for years. They described the differences in the variety of pizzas they offer, how they use locally sourced garlic and other ingredients, and have their olive oil imported specially. The pizza was absolutely delicious! Perfect crispy thin crust that is still foldable, authentic NY style. The ricotta is indescribably delectable!! It was the best white pizza my husband and I have ever had, and he lived in NYC for 4 years! This is a must try!!

When you go to Peels on Wheels, you’re not just getting incredible food, you’re getting an education. If the owner, Luis, is there, he’s always happy to talk about the dough, the locally sourced ingredients, and baking process, which makes you appreciate every bite even more. Beyond the pizza, the Friday chicken cutlet sandwiches are absolutely drool-worthy, and the arancini is some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s artisanal pizza with an artisanal price, but they consistently offer specials and a rewards program that make it more accessible. Peels is must-visit, again and again!

OK, a few things about this restaurant. First of all the way they structure their menu is fantastic with different types of food on different days and it just makes you want to come back on different days and try out different stuff. They also offer a subscription service which 100% would be worth it if you were going to order here multiple times throughout the year. Offers up to 30% off each order. The overall prices without the subscription service are almost highway robbery. You are paying the same cost of a sheet pizza from some places as you would for a large pizza from this place. Pizza is made very well and the bread/crust was awesome and the seasoning and the way everything came together was excellent. So I can’t complain about the food because it was phenomenal, but I can’t come back because of the cost.

Best pizza in Rochester by far. Luis and his team work so hard to provide such an amazing product for their customers. Go support if you haven’t! Both the regular and gluten free pizzas are top notch. They also have different types of starters/appetizers that are to die for!

Had to try a few different pizzas after seeing such high reviews.
Is it a good pizza? Yes. One of my favorite? No.
Too pricey for my tastes. But all because it doesn’t have the flavor profile I love doesn’t mean it won’t for you!
Definitely worth the try!

Ordered a margarita pizza, a deep dish rosa pizza and the cheese ball things. The margarita pizza was exceptional! We both loved it. The Rosa was OK. I liked the crust, but the vodka sauce wasn’t strong and tangy enough for my taste. I probably should have just gotten a deep disk pepperoni instead (the counter clerk recommended it). I thought the ball things would be all cheese too, however they’re just a small bit of cheese surrounded with sticky rice and fried. They were good, but not great.
We totally plan on going back! I’m glad these guys are in the community over standard chain garbage (pizza hut, papa Johns, domino’s).

I travelled from Toronto to visit this place and wow wow wow best pizza I have had . I tried their deep dish focaccia slices with vodka sauce and creamy pesto …. To die for . Don’t even think it twice just run over there .
Super cute atmosphere and friendly staff. I wish I lived closer but it’s seriously the best thing Rochester NY has and it’s a must try . You will be so hooked!. Also reasonably priced for gourmet pizza. Better than Italy if I must say.

This place is the most legit pie in the Rochester area. They were so nice in the 1 minute interaction we had with them as well. Is it a bit pricey?? Sure. But it’s worth every single penny. They use great flour, great skill, and put out a frankly superior product. We will be back…. OFTEN

So this shop came up a lot when I was asking people where ‘the best pizza in Rochester’ is. I had to try it, so I grabbed a NY style cheese the other day, and, yeah, it’s the best I’ve had (maybe anywhere). I have 2 more to try, but I can’t see how they’d be better. Maybe different, maybe as good, but no way they’ll be better. I ate this pizza in my car in front of the building, because I couldn’t wait to get home after looking at it.
