Decide to walk downtown to a local tavern for lunch
I like that in the middle of the restaurant is the bar
If you would like a drink whether it be soda or an alcoholic beverage the cashier / waiter can see you
On either side
I said they are literally in the middle of the restaurant
there is a cute duck claw game and several different adult lottery games There are TVs on both sides
Also there are two ways to come into the building which is nice and very roomy and very spacious
The attitude of the waiter was very friendly and very nice
And surprised it was not crowded because it was late afternoon Saturday
As far as the food only reason I gave it a four instead of five
certain selections were limited
Went with cheeseburger baskets the cheeseburger patty was a good size Patty very filling
Another great touch how they plated up the cheeseburger baskets
The cheeseburger patties which were very tasty and very good size came on a nicely toasted buttered roll
on the side there was lettuce and tomatoes and onions and pickles I was very impressed at how they did this because nowadays you don’t see a lot of places taking the time to make a plate look nice
Then you have the french fries hot and crispy and plenty of them in the baskets came with your choice of soda
Baskets were 12 each talk about a reasonable price for the food that we got that was tasty and plenty of I was very impressed with this place now one of my favorite hamburger places I would definitely recommend checking this place out

First visit since new ownership. The menu is no where near as good as before. I had a fish sandwich with fries. While each was rather large, both were tasteless! The best part of the basket were the pickles!

For southern Illinois it is a top tip shape establishment. Amazing food and good pours on the drinks. This is your average dive bar mixed with an honest great kitchen. All are welcome and appreciated here. My spend per person is due to this writer drinking doubles and my woman accomplice drinking singles slowly.

Friday night karaoke was great. We tried the appetizer platter which is 5 different appetizers all of them where wonderful. We also had one of the cheese burgers that was awesome. This is just a fun friendly place with a great atmosphere and good service.

The most delicious food, no matter what you get. The Ruben and fried pickles are my personal favorite, but the wings and the blt also always hit the spot! Good size portions. We enjoy to-go, or dine in! Staff is always wonderful ❤️
