July 4th 2021 We came to check out this new restaurant. They didn’t have Thai tea, nor Vietnamese coffee listed on the menu. We ordered a beef & brisket phở, a tofu & vegetables phở, and tonkatsu.
My thoughts are the beef & brisket would have been better served rare than well done. The tofu & vegetables were good, both broths were tasty. The tonkatsu I requested that the meat be moist, juicy. The pork was very thin, the meat wasn’t juicy, nor overcooked dry, but I wasn’t really satisfied served a very thin piece of pork loin. It could have been fully cooked in a minute.

Good bulgogi was NOT on my list of things to try in Alaska, but I’m glad I did. I’ve been to South Korea on multiple occasions, and they definitely are both legit and delicious at Pho Tai.

The two of us stopped in for lunch today. Great service and delicious food! The menu had a lot of choices and there was no wait. We had the Kung Pao chicken rice bowl and beef and broccoli rice bowl. Definitely recommend.

Extremely unsatisfied with our experience. We came with a group of four and had to wait five minutes to even be noticed. Then, we had to grab the menus ourselves because the waitress wouldn’t come to our table. The menu looks large and varied but most of the food is either mediocre or average at best. There was only one waitress who did all the work, both at the counter and as a server. The restaurant looks heavily understaffed and the food is nowhere near good. We saw multiple groups of people walk out the restaurant due to receiving no service and we were close to also doing so. Please fix the service – it is extremely terrible. The owners are unwilling to invest in hiring more waitresses, so we will not be wasting any more time coming back to the restaurant. Hope to see more improvements for the future so that no other customers will have to go through the same experience as us.

The waitress ignored us when our group asked a question and passed right by us after giving us a stare. The waiter when asked about the menus, he told us to wait outside the door in the rain and wait for someone to bring us in. He proceeded to tell other tables around us that we have no manners.
We decided it was not worth eating while being publicly told off.
I would encourage your staff to understand people better and relay message with empathy rather than anger and rage. Maybe they are overworked and taking out their frustrations onto others. But absolutely no excuse for the treatment received today during lunch.

We stopped in for dinner tonight with family who was visiting. We sat for about 20 minutes with no service. There was maybe 4 other tables of 2 or 3 in the entire restaurant, so it wasn’t busy as it was not during typical dinner hours. We were sat at the table and then not approached again. Multiple workers were walking around serving other tables, looking at us, and walking away. We ended up leaving after 20 minutes of being completely ignored. Upon leaving, we approached a server to ask if there was an issue serving us? She put her hand up in my face, gave a nasty look, and walked away. We are local Juneauites, and I understand this is a busy tourist season, but that is no way to treat ANY customers. That was our first and LAST time ever going there. We wanted to try somewhere new, and that was an awful 1st impression.

I have always had a great experience at this restaurant. The food is good price is a little high and quite frankly the owners could care less whether you ate there or not because there’s so many other customers waiting to eat there. But again I’ve always had good experiences at this restaurant I’ve always gotten exactly what I expected to get and the food has always been good.

Terrible service or should I say no service at all. After being sat at a table we were ignored for 15 mins…. I understand you’re busy but at least acknowledge us and let us know you’re busy and we would have been understanding. As we were walking out after no one acknowledged us at all….I tried speaking to the female server who with complete disrespect walked past me with a head flip and shooing hand motion. My family is local and we will 100% be steering people away from here.
