Decided to try this place because our regular burger spot was out of ice, need an ice cold drink with my burger. So glad we tried this place because its now a new favorite. The lady that helped us was so kind. We had a regular burger and a pastrami burger and neither one disappointed!! Pastrami was exceptional!! Excellent fries. They were done to perfect crispyness. Fry sauce was great! And they have Dr Pepper Cream soda in the machine!! Tables were clean. We will be back!!

Came here after a school thing, food is good, service is good and fast. I ordered the stan burger on a whim due to the fact that I like to try the house burger of everywhere I go, I has mushroom and ham and I usually despise mushroom and ham but I found it to be absolutely Devine. Beyond that the root beer they serve is really good I drank up my first cup immediately. The fries they serve are very good, the perfect balance between a crispy outside and a nice soft inside. The fry sauce is also really good, it had a hint of something I’m not quite sure what but it really enhanced the flavor of it. All in all if you’re in the area I’d have to say Stan’s Drive-In is a must visit if you like good wholesome American food.
Post script: My mother also went here earlier in the day when she dropped me off at the school thing and she said she got onion rings and a burger and that putting the onion rings on the burger was positively kino.

Today’s lunch #chickenTikkaMasala #garlicNaan #MangoShake from #stansDriveIn Salem. This is the former Provo Stan’s namesake. Yes, the Originators of the beloved, Utah #frySauce the Stan’s that was on 900 east in Provo. They moved to Salem and still have their usual #diner food. But they also have #indian too. Some people raved about the Tikka and the Naan so I had to try. The Tikka Masala was not spiced traditionally, so if you want spicy bring your own hot sauce, however, the flavor was not lacking, it had the lovely curry, masala spices in a tomato, yogurt sauce. I Could really taste the Ghee (butter). I enjoyed it. The Garlic Naan was fabulous. I love Garlic and it had a fair amount to satiate my garlic craving. I got a Mango shake thinking it would be similar to a Mango Lassi but of course it wasn’t. However, it was a good THICK ice cream shake. I got the meal to go to enjoy on the road. Glad I visited Stan’s Drive-in again for Indian Food and look forward to more visits.

Unassuming is an understatement! Stan’s drive inn has something that no other drive in in America has. Yes they have chicken sandwiches, bacon burgers, shrimp baskets, fries, curly fries and the milkshakes are to die for. However the hidden GEM is their food from India. It is unique and so flavorful. We have eaten in the big popular Indian food restaurants in SLC and in St. George and Stan’s Drive Inn is better hands down. I had their chicken Tika with Naan and I ate it so fast that I forgot to take a picture. Do yourself a favor and stop and pamper yourself at Stan’s! Update…..had Chicken Tika again with Garlic Naan. Heavenly!!

The total price didn’t seem to add up to what I ordered. They didn’t offer a receipt. I had to ask them to print one. Upon inspecting the receipt, they tacked on $1.80 of fry sauce that I didn’t ask for. That was odd. If you’re going to charge the customer $1.80 for fry sauce, the customer ought to consent to that. They shouldn’t just tack it on. They did reimburse me for that. I did enjoy the food. I just wasn’t expecting an odd exchange over $1.80 of fry sauce that I didn’t ask for.

The price I was charged for a kids meal and adult meal was outrageous. Not what was posted on their menu. Not worth it and definitely not fast food. I waited a long time in the drive thru and I was the only customer they had.

I was in Salem for my son’s soccer game and had been working all day, so I was looking for a quick bite to eat. I stopped by Stan’s and was offered a sample of the chicken curry, which was tasty and convinced me to order. I went through the drive-up window and placed my order without asking about the price. When I got the bill, I was surprised to see it totaled $25 for just the curry and a root beer. While the food was good, I couldn’t help but feel that the price was a bit steep for what I got.

I got a bacon cheeseburger meal here and I thought it was very good! The bacon had a slightly sweet taste to it but it matched very well with their fry scarce they have. The fries were incredible since they season them but at the very bottom the fries are slightly salty. The place looks a little worn down but that is where good food is so if you want to try a new burger place I would recommend to come and try it o it yourself!
