I plan to come here next time I’m in the area!
We arrived around 5:00 and expected a wait. Immediately, the two young hostesses were kind of rude and told us they needed to “figure it out” and that it would be just a couple of minutes. We waited patiently for 35 minutes with no update. Then I overheard a waiter mention something about at least another 45 minutes. We waited a bit longer to see if that comment was about our table and whether the hostesses would update us, but they didn’t.
I finally stood up and politely asked how much longer the wait would be. They both rolled their eyes and said they didn’t know. I asked if they could at least give an estimate—another half hour, an hour?—and they just laughed. One of them said they only have three tables that can seat more than four people: one was reserved, one had just been seated before us, and the third might have just gotten their food (though they refused to confirm when we asked). I explained that this would have been helpful to know 35 minutes earlier, since they clearly knew that information when we arrived. They literally laughed in our faces and just said “yeah.” Then one started whispering to the other while we were still standing there, and they both looked at us and laughed again. At that point, after being laughed at in our faces multiple times, we were done. There was no apology or nothing given for the wait or the lack of professionalism, not even a goodbye or have a nice night.
I’ve never written a negative review before, but I’m honestly disgusted by their blatant unprofessionalism and rudeness. I’ve never encountered a more disrespectful pair of hostesses, and they’ve definitely lost the restaurant some loyal customers—we won’t be returning after this.
When the manager (or whoever Tracy is) picked up, she just said hello. After a long pause I told her I was just waiting for someone to get back to me and she said she was that person. I let her know, again, that my order was missing an item. She then told me that she confirmed with her chef and wait staff that the item was made and it is not currently in house. I was immediately annoyed because I didn’t call to argue with her about it. I let her know that I definitely did not have the item to which she responded with an exasperated sigh.
I again asked to be refunded the cost of that one item. She had the nerve to ask if I would prefer a gift card instead. I let her know that I would have no use for the gift card since I won’t be back because of her horrible attitude. She then told me she doesn’t have an attitude and that she was just letting me know her understanding of the situation to figure out what went wrong. I told her, which should be common sense, that she should definitely figure out what went wrong from the restaurant but that I didn’t need to be part of that conversation nor was it my job to help her figure out where the staff messed up. She finally relented to say she would refund the card.
On a positive note, the food that we did receive was good, but there is good food everywhere. The service is definitely not just lacking, but is overly antagonistic, completely inappropriate, and not fit for any restaurant.
