I’ve been coming to Ciao Roma for a few years now. I decided to take a friend here for his birthday and made the reservation with an added note, “It’s my friends birthday, if there’s anything you can do to make it special that would be so wonderful.” And they did NOT hold back! Look how cute these custom menus were, the confetti on the table, a happy birthday song with dessert. Truly aside from the incredible Italian food and wine and atmosphere, the service we experienced here tonight was unlike any restaurant I’ve been to. Whether it’s just a dinner date out or you’re celebrating a special occasion, Ciao Roma is your place.

This was one of the best meals my boyfriend and I have ever had. We visited Boston for the weekend, and this was definitely our favorite meal of the trip. The ambience was absolutely perfect for a date night warm and intimate as we were seated upstairs.
The food was incredible. The meatballs were amazing, the vodka chicken parm was to die for, and the olive oil cake paired with an espresso martini was the perfect way to end the meal, both were absolutely delicious.
We can’t wait to come back to Boston and return to Ciao Roma. Highly recommend! 10/10.

the chicken WAS INSANE. the pasta was pretty undercooked but the chicken and cheese and sauce made up for it. the dish was steaming and the texture of the cutlet was so interesting , like not rubbery but bOuncy??? also the meat wasn’t dry at all but quite tender, and it was laying under warm, copious layer of milky cheesy melted mozzarella that was super stringy and delicious. there was also a generous amount creamy , light vodka sauce soaking everything, making it a bit soggy and super comforting.

We’re on an adventure to find the best Italian spot in the North End, but this one didn’t live up to our expectations. For what we paid, I personally don’t think it was worth it. The Arancini appetizer saved the day, along with my partner’s Fusilli Alla Vodka, which was excellent.
I had high hopes for the Rigatoni & Sunday Ragu, but it fell short. The pasta wasn’t cooked al dente—it probably needed another 45 seconds. On the bright side, there was plenty of braised ribs, which were perfect. However, there was no sausage in the dish, and to compensate, they brought over a small sauce dish with a few pieces. The meatball was unevenly cooked—one half was tender and good, while the other was hard and overcooked.
Servers are really nice and outdoor seating made gave it the perfect atmosphere!

I took my parents here for lunch, the ambiance was perfect. We ate outside on the patio and had beautiful weather that day. The food was wonderful. The lobster ravioli was the best I’ve ever had. Our waiter David was amazing. Very fun to talk to , and kind, he really made the experience wonderful. Everything we ate was delicious. They have a great drink menu as well. The tables are a little small, however that’s the vibe we wanted and the 3 of us ate comfortably with no issues. They were very good about keeping the table clear when items were finished, which helped a lot with table space.

Great atmosphere and good for a date night. Started with the bruschetta with ricotta – this was a must get! Got the chicken parm with vodka sauce and the seasonal special butternut squash raviolis. Both dishes came out a bit cold which was disappointing but overall enjoyed.

I was in Boston for a conference and stumbled upon Ciao Roma in North Boston — and wow, what a vibe! The location and ambiance are everything — perfect for a girls’ night or date night. The inside has a cute little bar, but the outdoor seating is where it’s at. The pasta was so good, dessert was amazing, and our server was super attentive. I’m from Miami, but this spot is officially on my must-visit list whenever I’m back in town!

Had a really great dinner! The atmosphere in the upper floor was really nice, a good view and the interior felt warm and inviting. The food was nice, although I felt like the pasta might have lacked a depth of flavor that would have set it above another restaurant. Overall though, everything tasted great and the ambiance was great. The server was also very friendly and attentive and immediately noticed when we were accidentally served the wrong food, I included pictures of both. The fish looked good but thankfully we got the chicken that we ordered haha.

I made reservations for lunch at 3pm on Saturday to sit inside away from the heat. When were brought to the table they sat us by the stairs. I asked if we could be seated at the tables by the window where there were multiple open tables. The server said he had to ask the hostess outside. Then, he seated us next to the bathroom/bar area and the entire time we were there those other tables remained empty. I would have left then and there but we were very hungry and decided to order. We ordered two glasses of wine, the fennel salad, roasted chicken and the basil gnocchi. All I have to say, is don’t waste your time and money here! Aside from the salad the food was terrible. The chicken was greasy and bland and when it came to the gnocchi, I’ve had better food on a plane! The waitress also never came back after she took our order. Never asked if we wanted anything else, coffee or dessert. I called one of the 3-4 servers cleaning by the bar/bathroom area for the check. We fell for the social media hype and that’s all it was, hype.
