The food was fabulous, but more importantly the atmosphere and service was amazing!
We had the distinct pleasure of getting to know the owner’s son, Anthony! We’ve now adopted him and he belongs to our framily forever.
I can’t wait to go back!
We ordered a lot of things to try, including dessert, they have an awesome $1.99/taco deal on Tuesdays, but don’t limit yourself if you aren’t on a budget!

Been wanting to try this place since they’ve opened. A friend came to visit from out of town this past Saturday & i recommended this spot. “VERY DISAPPOINTED “ is an understatement. Food was bland/watery. The taco i had w/shredded chicken was salty & the chicken was hard like it was old. My friend ordered chicken fingers & they don’t have sauce to go w/them. Last but not least they don’t serve alcoholic beverages. Waitress stated they were still waiting to get approved for the license. Service was great but the food definitely was not worth the $$. I wondered why no one was there on a Saturday evening. Maybe it was an off night but they definitely weren’t busy. Seems like the food was something thrown together. & the presentation wasn’t very appetizing. I did LOVE the outdoor seating. Perfect for a date night. Hopefully they will work out the kinks. This could be a very good spot with some improvements!

Margarita’s is a recent addition to the Gaffney community. Located on the corner of a 5-street intersection at the east end of downtown. The restaurant is cheerfully painted and has an outdoor patio area that’s larger than the inside. The food is delicious…and I want to add that it offers dishes on the menu, that are not just the usual Mexican-American restaurants.
Starting with the salsa and chips, the salsa is homemade and delicious…not spicy, but delicious. My Wet Burrito was perfect and all the flavours came out distinctively. There is no mushy mixture of food flavours. My wife had the Surf and Turf Fajita and had the same experience with the flavours. Anyi was our server and we were delighted with her cheery attendance to us.
In summary, I am happy to see changes in Gaffney with the choice in restaurants that we are seeing, lately. Margarita’s Cafe Mexican Restaurant is a welcome and positive addition!

This place just opened last month, still in the process of changing the name. The tacos are amazing, love the steak and chicken ones. Outside seating was very cool this weekend, not to warm. We will be back.

5 star experience all around. The owner is a very cordial fellow. Delicious food and a very chill atmosphere. I’ve had tacos, burritos , tortas, and I’m excited to go back and try even more off the menu. Do yourself a favor and stop by this local spot. An extremely welcome addition to this little town !

Stopped in today for lunch, so glad we did! Food was delicious! I could taste the distinct flavors of each ingredient, they all mingled together nicely. The staff and owner were welcoming and friendly. It’s on a busy intersection, but once inside, you don’t notice. It’s bright, clean and cheerful inside. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes! We enjoyed the whole experience, thank you!
