We went to Carson City for lunch and antiques. I had the smoked prime rib with garlic mashed and broccoli and my friend had a chicken sandwich. The lettuce was wilted and tomatoes kinda weird looking along with a lone chicken tender as the chicken sandwich. The artichoke dip was a little runny, and overall it was ok. The waitress was eager to get our order in, and the kind of left us alone until after our food came. Then it was here’s the check. The overall atmosphere was kinda cool! I love the fire engines and steam engine. I may try them again if I come back, but I’ll try something else.

Service was wonderful and the food was absolutely incredible! Portions were huge and prices are fair for the amount of food you’re getting. The atmosphere was great! Definitely will come back again when in the area and so glad we stopped! Highly recommend!

Very amazing atmosphere of late 1800’s-early 1900’s western wagons hanging from ceilings and other neat decorations from that era, too, in a cabin style building with a huge locomotive train engine in entry. So cool!
Great food but not 5 star food because my order of AuGratin potatoes were way too greasy & salmon portion was 1in wide and about 4½in long…WAY TOO SMALL for what it costs.
Minestrone soup is excellent, seems to be made in house.
Love the Fried Bread appetizer, too.

What a fun place to eat! Excellent decor with old steam engine, And various historic memorabilia. Food was good, salad was very fresh and plenty of it. The chicken pie also was good. Wait staff were helpful and friendly.

Absolutely outstanding ribs. I try to not order ribs when I go out because I’m not a fan of most sauce or how ribs tend to be cooked. These ribs were spot on and the sauce did the job. The sauce was so good I was tempted to buy some and take it home to drink it. All jokes aside, the smoked ribs were wonderful along with the mac n cheese which was good. Not a 10/10 but tasty. Definitely not boxed that’s for sure. I also got the scalloped potato’s which were cooked very uniquely but they were killer. Usually they are in more of a sauce but these were more decent cheese and to be honest they were great. I’m sure they don’t get enough credit being cooked the way they were but I would definitely recommend them. It’s been years since we’ve been but I would without a doubt recommend the ribs to anyone that wants some good cooked ribs with a great sauce!! Go get yourself some ribs!!!

What a fun place! We happened to stumble upon Reds 395 Grill, and it turned out to be quite a treat. The atmosphere is very cool—amazing décor and a definite wow ambience that makes it stand out.
The food was good, and the portions are definitely generous, so come hungry! Service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience.
It’s a lively and enjoyable spot to visit if you’re in Carson City. We’d happily return.

Founded alongside highway 395. Just outside the redwood parks. Yet earned its Carson City reputation by their museum like memory artifacts. Including the 1923 steamroller. Painted in a timelessly fading firehouse red.
Whether you are in the holiday spirit. Or a roadtrip travel throughout the year. There is always something especially appealing about the old fashioned traditional color of red. Like a side of cranberry. A firetruck parading around santa in his red velvet suit. Alongside Clifford, the big red dog. All very much appealing to the human eye. Much like the brightly glowing red present wrapped beneath the Christmas tree.

The food was good and a solid portion for the price.
Unfortunately, the ribs were on a bed of chilled fried onions and next to fries too cooled to eat. The shepherd’s pie was unevenly heated through, with some hotter spots and other bites less warm. It was a great dish, especially with the flaky crust. It just had a poor execution by the kitchen. The server made it right with a quick warm-up. Not the best experience, but hopefully it was just an off day.

I want to say I like this place but it just wasn’t for me, it’s 4 stars because of the staff.
For the price you do get a good amount of food and it comes out hot and ready
The style of the place is very unique and has an interesting aesthetic to it which is very appealing to a lot of people. I will say the seating can be tricky if you aren’t taller or if you have kids in certain sections of the restaurant so make sure you get the spot you need.
The waiter did an amazing job for us being patient and helping us out when one of our party couldn’t eat some of the food.
