Not bad poke. Nice that you can choose your own ingredients. They also have other hot items (chicken, pork) if you’re not into fish. The spam musubi was also good but the rice to spam ratio was off.

I love Poke. I went to a place very similar to this in Seattle the week before so it was interesting to compare the two. Here are my thoughts:

The food was delicious. Lots of good protein options. I got the calamari and wasabi ahi tuna. Great selection of toppings.

The rice is left in a warming container which causes the outside edges to dry out. So, we had hard, crunchy rice throughout our meal.

They need bigger bowls. I got the regular size and by the time I added my toppings to it, it was over flowing. It was impossible to mix together which is how I like to eat it.

I was a little disappointed with the portion sizes. Again, I’m comparing this to a place I ate at in Seattle. There they did large scoops of protein that lasted during my entire bowl. Here the scoops are small and there was none left once I was halfway through the bowl (and I was trying to eat carefully!).

If they made these small changes, this place would be a home run for me.

We have been coming here since they opened a few years ago. We have always been impressed with the quality of the seafood in our poke bowls. Lots of tasty sauce options and toppings for your bowl. Don’t forget the eel sauce!!! Also their chicken teriyaki bowls for the kids are perfect. It may not be the cheapest meal option, but the price is with it for a good poke bowl!! My personal favorites are the salmon and ahi with the ginger sauce.

Food was not bad, but I dare say the fish had been frozen at one time. Tables were not clean but there was only one person working who was very nice and doing the best she could without help. The smoked squid was really good. The Ahi was ok.

Delicious, wholesome and healthy. They weigh your food. Friendly service. My only concern is that I was so very careful about what I ordered, yet, had an allergic reaction. Throat started closing, eyes watering, nose running. Maybe go even more transparent on whatever ingredients are in the items out of the norm? Brown rice should have been fine, ahi tuna, pineapple, green onions. I purposely avoided the things I have allergies to ‍♀️. Otherwise, two thumbs up .

I LOVE sushi. I LOVE seafood. I LOVE fish. I LOVE kinilaw (raw food dish from the Philippines). But you know what?.. I’ve NEVER had Poke! So it was only natural that I HAD to try it out!

We got there around 6:00 pm on a weekday. And….. essentially everything was SOLD OUT. It was a great sign for business!… But I was sad that we wouldn’t be able to have the full experience.

They had a little bit of tuna left along with shrimp and some squid. We asked the person there how to order and he gladly explained how it all worked. We ordered two bowls and got the shrimp and remaining tuna. I loved that we were able to add on a good amount of toppings. At first I thought it wouldn’t be that much food… but it was actually a good amount! 🙂

The food was DELICIOUS! The flavors blended well and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We’ll definitely need to come back again and experience their original bowl and signature dishes. 🙂

Nice work laid back poke shack. Food is quite good.
I got a bug in my ear yesterday at the pool talking about fish tacos. Well, the lunch search today didn’t turn up the fish tacos, but poke sounded mighty fine.
Food was delicious, staff was friendly, and there was no wait at 1215pm. All good. Staff recommended pier 38 dish, so that’s what I got. Watched him whip it up with what looked like good fresh ingredients. The combo of onion, pineapple, seaweed, and Poke was very good.
I’ll be back for more….

Such a yummy fresh place to easy. The rice was coconut-y creamy and almost had like a gooey, saucy texture to it… and was so good. The fish was fresh and flavorful. The bowls have lots of flavors and textures, so each but is a little different. We got the Laid Back Bowl and Musubi and shared it and it was a satisfying amount of food for two. Excited to go back!

Ordered the large bowl with 3 different kinds of poke. Really good! Try ordering through their website, sometimes they have a coupon code for online ordering and they don’t charge $0.99 for every single topping added on.

I had the “surf and turf” and I loved it. The raw salmon was soft (awesome), plump, and scrumptious. The ginger gave it a proper contrast, without overwhelming. Kale and seaweed provided the appropriate health challenge. I would order it again.

And I tried spam sushi (spam musubi) the first time! It was great.
