We recently visited Patiala House with our family of five after watching their TikTok videos. Since we live in Whitby, we traveled all the way to Brampton especially to try this place, so we were quite excited for our first visit.

We reached around 12:30 PM and placed our order by 12:40 PM, keema kulcha with gravy, six mix parathas with dahi and chana, and gud tea. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. It took almost an hour for the first dish to arrive, and even then, nothing was served together. The first item that came was the keema kulcha with gravy, and sadly, it was very disappointing because there was a hair inside it. I noticed it in the very first bite I was about to take. I immediately called the staff and asked them to replace it. They quietly took the plate without saying much at that moment and I was like they did not even apologize or say something which further disappointed me. I told my husband to leave as I was not at comfortable and when we were discussing the other stuff started coming, so , my husband told me to give them a chance and let see what happens.

After about 10-minute intervals, the mix parathas started arriving one by one. Thankfully, they were better and my kids enjoyed them, which was a small relief. At least we felt that maybe coming all this way was not a complete mistake.

Around 15–20 minutes later, a lady came to apologize for the hair issue. She mentioned that everyone in the kitchen wears hair caps and they were unsure how it happened. I appreciated her apology and told her that I understand mistakes can happen but I could have appreciated it more when it would have came the time it happened.

Additionally, after that incident, I was not comfortable eating. I completely lost my appetite. When something like that happens, it naturally makes you second-guess the hygiene standards, even if the rest of the food tastes fine.

The food overall was decent, and it was served hot, but the wait time was just too long. We were literally joking among ourselves that maybe we would get the food by evening. The gud tea was okayish — it tasted like it was made with milk powder rather than fresh milk, which reduced the authentic flavor.

I am not writing this to spread negativity or out of any personal issue. I genuinely want to share constructive feedback. Health and safety are extremely important in the food industry. Even small lapses can impact a customer’s trust and comfort. I would strongly recommend improving service speed and being extra careful with hygiene practices to ensure customers feel confident and safe while dining.

Patiala House has potential, but attention to customer service, food safety, and overall dining experience would make a big difference.

Hope this feedback is taken positively and used for improvement.

One of my family member can’t have gluten, so it’s been long time we couldn’t go to dineout for traditional breakfast together. I watched the video of Patiala house regarding their gluten free aloo paratha and amritsary kulcha on TikTok, so we went today to try it and we ordered both Gluten Free paratha and gluten free amritsary stuffed Kulcha. It was wonderful experience. Ambiance was nice, food was fresh and great, the server was very professional and polite and we had wonderful customer service. When I tried to make gluten free paratha at home in the past, the assembly was really difficult because gluten free flour doesn’t have the elasticity and when it’s ready it’s usually hard and broken but Gluten free paratha at Patiala House was awesome, I couldn’t even tell the difference that it’s gluten free, it looked and tasted like regular wheat paratha and kulcha. I don’t like ginger so I asked the server to prepare only cardamom Chai for me with no ginger in it, they were very co operative to accommodate our need, tea was very tasty. We also get to see the owner of the restaurant, she was very polite and co operative lady and gave special direction to the person preparing our meal to be extra careful to avoid cross contamination. I could tell that the food was made with love. Over all it was wonderful experience.

We had an amazing experience at Patiala House. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the Amritsari Kulcha, which was perfectly cooked and full of authentic flavors. The fruit cream was fresh, rich, and a perfect way to end the meal.

A special mention to our server Ravneet, who was extremely polite, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. The service truly enhanced our overall experience.

Highly recommend Patiala House for great food and excellent service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Patiala House has definitely become our go-to spot for authentic North Indian food! The place truly captures the flavours and vibes of Punjab.

We tried their Keema Kulcha, and it was absolutely amazing — perfectly stuffed, rich in flavour, and served hot with butter melting on top. The Chole Bhature were just as good — crispy, fluffy, and full of that authentic, homely taste you crave. Every bite reminded us of traditional street food from back home.

The ambience at Patiala House is warm and inviting, giving you that perfect family-dining feel. The interiors are neat and cozy, and the music adds to the Punjabi vibe. The staff were polite, attentive, and quick with service, which made the experience even better.

Overall, it’s a perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy real Punjabi flavours in a comfortable setting. Highly recommend trying it out — especially the Keema Kulcha and Chole Bhature!

We’ve been to this place many times, and it never disappoints. Their patty kulcha is great, crispy, perfectly spiced, and delicious. However, the nutri kulcha really stands out; the nutri is flavorful and absolutely delicious. The Phijja Kulcha is also worth trying. Overall, a great spot for kulcha lovers!

We finished our shopping and thought of heading to a different restaurant and stumbled upon Patiala house while I was coming out of the walmart plaza. We checked if the ambience was good and yes it was neat and not too crowded. The staff were very kind. especially Anmol and Karan. they were so sweet with the kids. it took less that 10 mins for the food to arrive. was fresh and hot. you can actually see the kitchen and the tandoor. We tried Patiala paneer tikak, mix parantha, paneed parantha, garlic naan, tawa roti, pattie kulcha and methi matar malai. We wanted to try Rehri kulcha but it wasn’t available and gur Wali chai but were too full. Food was amazing. Paneer tikka was out of the world. I just felt the kulcha had way too much butter. Felt like it was fried and personally did not enjoy the stuffing.. was kind of spicy. Next time. I would go for Amritsari kulcha. parantha and kulcha came with channa and pickle. you can swap channa with raitha. And when we asked for extra raitha, they gave it complementary. Garlic naan was so so soft and crispy. usually they tend to become hard. but this one stayed the same. Paranthas were super light. didnot feel like an restaurant one. felt more like home made. We really liked the food. would definitely visit again. Karan actually asked us to skip the tipping. but it would be a crime if I done tip them. such good experience we had. Actually the 3rd waitress was Rav and it was her b’day (Many more happy returns of the day Rav :))

People often say Brar or Kwality is the best North Indian restaurant in the GTA. I strongly disagree. For me, it is Patiala House. I am willing to put my neck on the line and say that this restaurant serves the best North Indian food in all of Canada.

I have lived in Brampton for the last 22 years and for Indian food, Patiala House is almost always my choice. I can confidently say that no other restaurant comes close when it comes to taste, freshness, and hospitality.

The owner, Ripu Auntyji is so cute and adorable, and you can clearly see how proud she is of her passion for cooking. That pride reflects in every dish that comes out of the kitchen.

I personally judge a North Indian restaurant by how well they make saag and makki ki roti. I can honestly say that Patiala House does it better than most places I have tried, even in India.

Thank you Ripu aunty and Muneet for your amazing food and warm hospitality.

We’ve been coming here quite often and every visit has been a great experience. The Kesar Thali is absolutely amazing and a must-order if you’re visiting for the first time. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and perfectly made.

One thing we really appreciate is that they offer gluten-free breads. My mom has difficulty eating regular bread, so having this option means a lot to us. It’s rare to find places that are this accommodating while still maintaining great taste.

And a special shoutout to Ravleen, who always serves us. She is such a wonderful human being and truly treats us like family. She’s incredibly kind and attentive, and sometimes she even refuses to let us tip. We visit often, and honestly she’s one of the main reasons we keep coming back. She always makes us feel so welcome and sometimes even surprises us with complimentary items, which is such a sweet gesture.

Great food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere every time. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is a big disappointment specially when you have very good options in Brampton. We ordered Malai Chicken Tikka and it was raw meat. I mean really you paying 20$ plus and you getting raw meat. Then we ordered mix veg in main course and it was just boiled vegetables with no masala given, when we told the waitress she is telling on our face this how you get it. After this talk what we could see she went on and kept gossiping and laughing with her colleagues, I mean utterly mannerless. Then they compensated us with Chana curry and it was nothing but boiled Chana with water and no taste and for that they made us wait for 45 min with nobody coming asking us. The owner should really look into the feedbacks and work on it. The restaurant service is disaster.
