The staff here are always so helpful. It’s just a really nice place to be. Welcoming, cozy – always a nice visit. And the food is excellent. Every time we go we decide “no THIS dish is my favorite!” Most recently I went simple – eggs, toast, and sausage links – after trying all the more *exciting* options that had caught my eye, and can tell you they do a great job with the standards too. Happy to be close by enough to stop in regularly.

The Highland’s Ham and Egg was very good. I also had a bowl of Chicken and Vegetable Soup which was very good too. The atmosphere was great. There’s plenty of space on the inside. They have awesome Bloody Mary’s and lots of coffee choices. The Scotch Eggs are amazing too.

Usually, this place is always a 5 star from me. The Portobello sandwich has been my favorite since they opened over 10 yrs ago. Today proves why I DO NOT tip online when placing my online orders, I wait until I pick up. This sandwich was the sloppiest I’ve ever had and is truly disappointing. It may take a while for me to go back, if ever, but I will sit inside with hopes of having a presentable, palatable sandwich.

My daughter and I have been wanting to try this place. We finally made time today to have lunch here. Great choice! She had a vegetarian burger. I tasted a bite and would get this over a real burger! I had a chicken salad sandwich on sourdough toast. We both had waffle fries. Excellent! We will be back. Super quick, nice friendly service.
