I haven’t eaten here in a couple years, but I was craving Chinese food and was in the area so I stopped by.
I seemed to remember this place as just “so-so”, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everybody was friendly and helpful, especially my waitress, who was just wonderful. Inside the restaurant was clean and well lit.
I was there for a late lunch, so it wasn’t busy. I got one of their lunch specials, the Thai chicken. I upgraded from the Egg Drop soup that came with to Won Ton soup, and I got some dumplings for an appetizer. The lunch specials include the entree, plus fried rice, egg drop soup, and a few fried won tons. Everything I got was really tasty. In addition, there was quite a bit of food. My experience has been that “Lunch Specials” typically aren’t overly generous with portions. This was an exception to that. As a side note, I was hungry and started eating when I realized I forgot to take pics of my meal, so there was more food than what you see in my pictures.
Anyway, all things considered, I had a great lunch here and will definitely be back.

This has got to be the most worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to before & I’ve been to a lot of them over the yrs even in the Midwest as well & they were a lot better than this one so anyway I ordered the sweet & sour chicken which smelled funny & had an odd taste to it looked more like chicken katsu a Japanese dish than a Chinese one & then the dish was cold it wasn’t cooked into the sauce either the clear watery plain red sauce was served on the side & the fortune cookies I bought tasted cheap & stale I definitely don’t recommend this place for good Chinese food!!!

Do not eat here. Obviously microwaved! The general TSO sauce is definitely ketchup and sweet Thai chili sauce. Just terrible. I thought I was being lazy by ordering it. It was ready in under 10 minutes. This food was soggy and not fried. DO NOT EAT HERE THE FOOD IS MICROWAVED

The best General Tso’s chicken can be found right here. I’ve tried many other Chinese restaurants in Tucson that offer General Tso’s chicken and they don’t come close to the delicious taste and quality offered here at the Golden Dragon. Recognizable pieces of white meat in a truly spicy red sauce.

Can’t deny this is a good place if you’re alone or with others,but it was a great price for the lunch special. The Chicken chop suey with fried rice,fried wonton and egg flower soup came piping hot which I love. Should’ve ordered egg roll or spring roll but the server seemed too eager. I believe I will return to remedy that and invite someone.

I ordered War Won Ton soup and Pork Fu Young. The War Won Ton soup is great. It has lots of meat and veggies. Will order again. The pork Fu Young was really really bad. The sauce was way too sweet and way too salty. The patty itself was wrong. It was very hard and had no bean sprouts. There was nothing redeemable about this dish.

Man, this was the worst take out I have ever had. Crab puffs were bad, you can smell something spoiled, sesame chicken was gross those pieces were not enjoyable at all. And the Mongolian beef smelled like fish, sauce was more like a glaze and mostly onions hardly any beef. These plates are over price. Food is gross. Not sure how this place is still functional. Should of known it was bad when it was empty on a saturday night. The food was thrown out. Waste of 50 bucks. If I could do Zero stars that’s what this restaurant deserves.
