Food was mainly excellent the hargow tad over steamed. Char siu up there with best I have had anywhere and I have it nearly everytime it’s on the menu. Mixed vegetables were superb crisp and flavoursome. We got the Hock Sieng special did not disappoint. Rice was fantastic as well. And the food is pretty original and not overly westernised

Very delicious soup (with creamy texture attributed to coconut) and superb beef & veggies with hot soybean sauce, in a large bowl that felt like it was endless. Pricey, but you get bigger portions for more expensive dishes, like mine, so it seems to be balanced.
I have to also say that out waiter was super nice, friendly and was great to talk to, he was generally a nice guy. He also was open to a little banter and chit-chat, and gladly told us about the background of the restaurant once the topic came up. His recommendations were accurate and spot-on too.
Overall a great experience, and the beer we got was NOT Heineken, which is a major plus!
