I love pizza. I don’t say that lightly. And hands-down, this is a 10+.
I brought home tow pizzas because I cooks t decide. Their traditional four cheese pizza was delicious! The homemade dough is everything you want it to be: perfectly chewy on the inside with that irresistible crisp on the outside. The sauce-to-cheese ratio? Spot on. Simple, classic, done right.
But then… the specialty vodka sauce chicken supreme pizza… Holy. Smokes. This was, without question, the most delicious, amazing pizza I have ever had. The vodka sauce was perfecto — rich and bursting with flavor without overpowering the rest of the pie. The chicken pieces were cooked to absolute perfection — tender, flavorful, and paired with just the right amount of cheese to make every bite unforgettable. Every slice felt like a masterpiece.
I genuinely wish this wasn’t just a specialty pizza — it deserves a permanent place on the menu. It’s that good.
Bottom line: if you’re even remotely considering trying this place, stop thinking and just go. Adjust your schedule if you have to. It’s worth it.
The pizzas were a massive hit with everyone in our group. Kiddos and grownups loved it! I wish we had a photo of the actual pies, but we devoured them so fast there wasn’t a chance! : ) We ordered 4 out of the 5 offerings on today’s menu—(those pics attached) and honestly, we should’ve just gotten all five. Every bite was perfection.
Saturday’s (4/19/25) specials included The Limon’—a chef’s kiss, zesty and packed with flavor—and also the ‘Cacio e Pepe alla Vodka’—touch of rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. For all the pizzas: the crust, Outstanding. Perfectly crisp undercarriage, clean ingredients, fresh mozzarella (read in your best Italian accent: muuttzzarella!), and all balanced proportions throughout. Menu options seem to rotate weekly with some staples, but trust—whatever they’re serving, you’ll be super pleased and you’ll be grabbing another slice before you’re finished with your first!
I originally walked in with a plan—three pizzas in mind. Curveball: two of them weren’t available. Without hesitation, I trusted the chef, the staff, the energy, the ambiance, and said “Let’s go with these four instead.” Best decision I could’ve made. Zero regrets. Total flavor win.
The team at Epicureo is so friendly, kind, and enthusiastic. From the customer service to the vibe to the food—it was a 5-star experience through and through. First time here, definitely not be my last.
Bonus tip: while you wait (only about 20 minutes for four pizzas!), head next door (literally 5-walking strides away) to Jabberwocky Bookstore—established in 1972! Hands-down one of the best bookstores I’ve ever stepped into. I got lost in there… twice! Super friendly staff there too.
And note: the Tannery Marketplace parking can fill up quickly, and this pizza haven is tucked inside the charming maze of the Tannery. But trust me, it’s worth the mini-adventure. (The whole place is a mecca of small business magic.)
Thank you, Epicureo and Newburyport, for a truly joyful, delicious, friendship-filled day. Bellissimo! Mangiare! Ciao!
The balance of flavors was amazing, with each ingredient complementing the other perfectly. Every bite was so fresh and delicious, it was clear that only the finest and freshest ingredients were used in the making of this pizza.
Tony, the owner of Epicureo pizza, is truly world-class in his craft. It is clear that he is meticulous in his preparation and takes great pride in every pizza he makes.
I highly recommend getting to Epicureo pizza early and often, as it’s no surprise that he sells out daily. If you’re in the Newburyport area and looking for a world-class pizza, look no further than Epicureo pizza. It truly is an incredible pizza-eating experience that you won’t want to miss.
This is definitely going to be our new go-to pizza, just have hope they don’t sell out too fast!
